Markham Waxers a Losing Org

Why are the Markham Waxers always at the bottom of the standings in each age group? If OMHA is trying to reduce AAA teams should they not be looking at organizations which are performing poorly year after year.

With the LOR in place, players who reside within the Markham AAA Zone(s) can simply go to the GTHL. AA and A players who live in Markham can do the same.

They’re all at the bottom? If you’re on this site than you have access to the World Wide Web. Like most omha organizations they have age groups in the bottom, middle and shocker, at the top.

Current placing in the leagues U10 through U16:

11th
12th
3rd
3rd
7th
10th
6th

Markham is one of those orgs that just hangs out in the middle - they can give most teams a fair fight, but they don't really threaten to win anything, and most of their teams are usually not terrible. The ETA has much bigger losing orgs than Markham.

U14,15,16 have played less games than many seated ahead. Could end up mid to upper tier. U12 is 2nd.
Where everyone ends up, who knows ??
However, how many organizations have only winners?
What list of organizations deserve to stay?

I agree, Waxers need to improve overall. They are losing kids and if they want to win they need to start doing a better job. Even with the GThl Markham is usually near the bottom. Perhaps it’s just that there is not much a pool of players in that city.

Yes the pool of players in Markham is shrinking. Plus, Markham doesn't need two organizations in the city now (Islanders/Majors & Waxers), one would be enough, and would make the teams better. Thoughts?

Yes, I agree Markham doesn't need to have 2 organizations in the city but unfortunately there is too much politics and horrible coaching in the WAXERS association which is why most kids/parents leave the Waxers and go to Islanders/Majors/GTHL. As of this year Richmond Hill AAA teams merged with Waxers and most teams are still weak. Markham AAA is combine with Stouffville, RH and Markham now. Any AAA kids that don't make the team in Markham should report to their AA team center. But I heard the Markham's teams and coaching are so bad that they would rather play elsewhere.

So what are the Waxers doing to fix this? Why continue this way.
