Put together the best team that you can.

'09 up to 10 imports and can't get out of the round robin in OMHA 2 years in row. Better keep importing until coaches kid is the last man standing.

how does the reverse scenario of imports work? Oakville had Misa who played for Senators and got exceptional status to play in OHl. He went to school in Oakville and played in G. While Oakville didn’t release my U10 AAA kid to play in G..anyone know how that works and how I can ask for release ?

Misa and other players were grandfathered in as a 1 year exemption.

You're stuck until U14.

If you really need to play in the almighty G then you move. Not a fake move, but a real, actual move.

So how important is your kids hockey to you?

the OMHA rules were put in place to preserve home town hockey, and not turn it into the Business that it is now.

The rule changes (UNLIMITED IMPORTS AT AAA) were part of a ballot stuffing campaign by Oakville, the OMHA got it right and changed the rules back but the existing teams were grandfathered in.

7 Oakville kids on the team, 10 Imports.

So where is the opportunity for kids below the past few years? If it were the old system (5 Imports Max) then 5 other oakville kids would have been given a chance. And that has a trickle down effect to the teams below AA, the way it is now whatever level your at your stuck there with no opportunity to move up. Imagine being in a job where the promotions always go to people outside of the organization.

And it’s unfair that you can come into Oakville but you can’t get out if you are good. The club isn’t competitive with G with these stupid policies and clubhouse presidents

Imagine owning the company and having cry baby employees like you, if your kid is good enough the coach will pick him, its real simple work harder.

Cry baby employees, that about sums up the Oakville Rangers way. Take what you’re given and enjoy it, and if you complain you are a “cry baby”

You think you are somehow not given a chance to play higher level, of course its everyone's fault and "just because" your kid should play any level you choose, because you are entitled this.
