Do people just think 6โ€™3โ€ means they are getting drafted? There is a lot more to it

There is no expectation for these kids to be fully baked. Cale Makar was 5โ€™6โ€ in his WHL draft. Not sure size tells you much at this age. Only about a third of those drafted will play a meaningful number of games in the league and more than half of those donโ€™t play in their first year. These teams arenโ€™t in a rush for first year players so they make bets on potential. A lot of picks likely donโ€™t make sense because scouts arenโ€™t looking at the same things parents are.
