10th to 15th rounds bound to be a favour here or there based on connections alone for sure. Keep in mind if you can’t afford an agent at U15 or U16 and your kid isn’t a top player on his team, you aren’t getting drafted anywhere for sure. Ugly competitive sport that’s a business and shit happens that isn’t always kosher in business.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:56 pmGM has final say and is clearly on the take and every team isn't doing it. Just shut up idiot, no one sees shite in your kid, he's a tiny puke 10th forward. You're an embarrassment and so is the team ffs.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 6:24 pmOkay so a team scout gets paid by parents and then has to go to said teams general manager and say “oh can you please draft this kid because his parents paid me $2000. Please pretty please draft him because I said you would?” Give your head a shake, a GM who doesn’t see any of that money isn’t going to pick a player that may risk them losing their job over a poor draft and poor season/attendance. This is a business, with owners who expect to make money from the team attracting fans and seeking merchandise. This isn’t minor hockey anymore. If any player is taken, it’s because they see some type of potential on that player or a need (size, physicality, someone who is willing to bring something the team lacks).Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 4:27 pmThen explain how players who struggle at the AAA level and have 1 or even no points get drafted.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:57 pmThere is no paying for players to be drafted, you’re spreading false information and it’s obvious you’ve never been through the CHL as a former player, or worked on the CHL in any type of position. Ask myself or anyone else who is associated with any CHL front office, that isn’t happening. Players will be bribed with money to play for a certain team, but that’s a totally different story. Absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing you’d even suggest money is exchanged for a player to be drafted. Get your facts straight before you post.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 11:41 amAfter chatting with a few scouts - It's been widely known that this year's draft was on the weaker side overall. Plenty of people ended up with a slice of the pie. Ton of $ exchanged for 10th Rd & below draft selection. All for bragging rights I guess. I would rather a nice trip for 7-15K
It’s obvious you know nothing about the NYR coach/ scouting staff at Niagara

What team needs a under sized forward with 0 points?
Re: OHL Draft
Thanks tips, great insight moron.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 6:37 pm Our team already has 12 American free agent invites coming to main camp in September. All 12 are NCAA committed and range from ages 18-20. So the U18 draft will likely be more of the same, except all will be 17 yrs old. You won’t see many if any kids being drafted from Ontario, these will be all US kids.
U18 draft was tonight and not 1 American drafted.

Still lots of sold spots, favours for friends …. Proof the corruption doesn’t stop after minor hockey. After last yrs Ice Dog scandal, the OHL loses even more credibility this yr.What about the 5’3 110 lbs player.Daddy's pick

Re: OHL Draft
Shows how much the guy above knows about agents! Buddy if you pay for an agent or still think that you’re supposed to then shows what you know ! I have never paid a dime , top prospects get recruited and don’t pay for agents !Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 10:22 pm Still lots of sold spots, favours for friends …. Re: OHL Draft
Let’s be real. Some kids earned it. But I have never seen a draft with so many kids not called who deserve to be called. It was a disgrace. Hopefully talent over money prevails.
Re: OHL Draft
You are incorrect I know a few players that was picked by buying the team and the kids said that themselves !!!Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 3:57 pmThere is no paying for players to be drafted, you’re spreading false information and it’s obvious you’ve never been through the CHL as a former player, or worked on the CHL in any type of position. Re: OHL Draft
My kid is still trying to make AAA, he skipped his draft year and by that, I mean he didn’t make a AAA team. Can he still make OHL or should we start making other plans? He wants to play for the Leafs with AM one day.
