OMHA - Realignment - take a closer look at how you are effecting players!

THERE SHOULD BE A GRANDFATHER CLAUSE!!!!!!!!

Having a grandfather clause for the players in the NRP Program that are thriving is the right thing to do!

As a parent I chose to support my child and what's best for them on and off the ice.

There is NO reason why OMHA can not have a grandfather clause to the NRP program they created and allow players in that program continue to participate as a NRP!

They have to earn one of 3 spots available, let them do that, let them work hard for that. Give them the opportunity to keep their team and community they love and have been apart of for years!

NRP's will essentially be non-existent because of the new AA centres being created

I believe the CW/Guelph thing is just for local league, not rep.

Listen here crazy hockey parent! The NRP program is simple, you cannot move laterally and it's good for 1 year only! There's no grandfathering of a 1 year agreement. If they had a 10 year NRP program then perhaps you'd have a valid argument. It's a simple concept, residency in OMHA is always owned by your nearest centre. You are categorized at that centre and owned by that centre. You go up the ladder to AAA or AA or A you are always owned by your home centre! If you're not good enough to make the jump then so be it, what makes you so damn special?!?! If you want to go play in another centre, easy. MOVE!

The only clown is the one whining about residency. Omha has residency rules. NRP's are a 1 year contract. There are no rules for lateral movement. You want to grandfather all levels of hockey? No rules and no tryouts. Just grandfather everyone. That's a clown show.

AAA Permission to Skate forms are only good for one year as well. Why are AAA players in the OMHA allowed to stay with their team that they joined through "open borders" last year?

No one is saying grandfather every age group. NRP's only apply for U12 and up, so let the 2011 and older kids stay with their NRP team until they age out. If they get cut, they go back to their home centre. It's not that hard.

The centre's that are merging are counting on getting those NRP's back in order to compete.
