There was zero concern for the quality of the league, just purely self-centered thought.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 7:29 amGuest wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 7:10 amYou want someone to prove you wrong with your two-team idea. So no proof, not even an attempt. How appropriate. Just claim it to be true, and expect people to believe you. Here i can play.
1-a 2 team AAA representation from HEO is more fiscally effective, and provides more value for the money that will be spent. It will also be cheaper than legacy AAA.
2-the outcome will be FAR greater, and provide FAR better results than legacy AAA
but anyways......
5 teams is watered down, and it hurts player development
prove me wrong.
Or don't post anything, complain, stomp your feet and blame someone else......ah Liberals
You would not believe any posts anyway; your mind is closed. Nice to know there is a lot of free thinking going on in your house.
Don't be so lazy I have posted several posts with lists of why 2 teams is better. I can't help it if you chose not to look. Close minded eh, I keep asking for someone to prove me wrong. Try thinking and engaging in debate. Or stick with drama points, and excuses.
All we kept hearing about the CCHL run U18AAA league was that it was watered down. No attempts at determining what the proper number of teams should be. I broke the logic down for 2 teams a couple times, and specifically addressed the "watered down" complaint many people had. People here want their kid in AAA, have no idea what player development is, how to achieve it, when it peaks, or why it's different for different players.
Try engaging in debate with at least some ideas and try to support your position beyond just opinion.
Close.minded, lol, I see excuses and probably a realization that you're wrong.
Prove me wrong
Creating a 2 team system that would be detrimental a) Families who can barely afford the current cost, let alone one that is 2-3X higher) and b)any player that is good enough to play AAA but doesn't make one of your elite development programs (which as we know is all but guaranteed)
However, if you re looking to emulate the GTHL so badly you may get your wish, since no doubt there will be deep pockets wanting to get control over teams and/or secure spots for their "true AAA" player, so maybe teams can be bought and sold each year. (Hopefully you get a commission)
I completely agree with your comments about the CCHL run U18AAA league. Self centered people who think their kid is going straight to the OHL after U16AAA.
Your other comments though, I believe are off base.
1- my proposal will be cheaper and here's why. Currently many AAA trams are already going to 7+ away tournaments each year. Not ALL but many. Having 7+ tournaments as a travel team and no league games, will be cheaper without the costs of being on the league. It will also be cheaper as parents won't have to travel for those league games. Your extreme exaggeration of 2-3 × higher costs is weak.
Is less league games good, yes it is if you have a goal of ELITE player development. A practice to game ratio of a minimum of 3-1 is needed, and the current format doesn't get close.
Less league play allows for meaningful and impact full dryland training. Working out once a week is literally a waste of time and money.
A focus on tournaments gives players meaningful exposure to eyes that matter, not what you get from an away game in Cardinal.
2-any player that is good enough to make AAA but not one of the 2 teams?!?!?!? And then your sentence stops?? First, just because you give a player or team the AAA label, doesn't mean they are AAA caliber. You need to get passed that.
Comparison to the GTHL, well that's merely a reality of our comparator. One of the biggest reasons people gave for wanting to scrap the CCHL run U18AAA was due to the poor showing at draft years relative to southern Ontario and specifically the GTHL. Aren't you able to understand why they become the measuring stick. Top players here leave to go, let's see where, oh ya the GTHL. Like it or not they are the comparator here. We don't need to have trams bought and sold like they do there, ah we do have Myers bought to promote family!!
You're still not giving a compelling argument how 2 teams isn't a great option for the ELITE player.
