One of the oldest BCHL clubs (Merrit) just announced they are leaving the BCHL. All is not well in paradise, I guess. I told you it would happen.

yes they are leaving but take a hard look at the Owners they are from NWT and are Trolls will sell the dream to kids and pocket the money.

Oh yeah that is all the Junior teams now

They left because they are a small market team and the team could not sustain the free play model that the BCHL has.

BCHL is not free yet and many of their franchises could never sustain that model. More will leave.

All the players I know that play there this year don't pay a dime. Maybe a few charge (smaller market) but the ones that I know who play there don't pay anything except transportation to get there.
