Myers
Cyclones
67s
Titans
Wild
CIH?

It's a draft. No CIH. 3 East and 3 West. Lots of AAA parents who's dream will end quick.

What do you mean a draft. If your kid is on a team do they own the rights to that kid.

The U18AAA league as you know it is done. The U18AAA teams from this year will no longer exist.

Nobody owns anyone's rights. There will be a border dividing the city in 2 bases on number of registered players. Draft for 3 east teams and separate draft for 3 west.

What are the 6 teams called? I like the idea of a draft. It should balance out the teams a lot more.

Most of these kids have already been drafted a yr ago and their rights are owned by a CCHL team.

Not so sure. They were drafted into U18AAA which is gone, to be resurrected into something different. Nobody was drafted into Jr. A. Even if you want to argue that they were, many were given the chance to tryout for the Jr. A team-specifically the 06's-and cut. They are free agents now. Nobody signed anything with these teams, infact they still had to register with their home minor hockey associations.

They are all free agents.

Is the U18AAA league really gone? It's now 6 teams not 12 but still going to be run but CCHL. Everyone that we have spoken to has said the kids already drafted that their rights are still retained. Also hearing that the existing 12 teams will be paired up to make 6 teams. The "free boarders" was for the proposal that did not include the CCHL, the final plan moving forward is 6 U18AAA CCHL teams.

It is gone no way any team can hold anyone to anything anymore. Open field now unless they do a draft.

But it's not gone.. thats the point. U18AAA is still being run by CCHL.
