The point of commiting is that there is no decommiting. Another kid lost a spot because you commited.
But it’s ok for coaches to cut kids last minute.
No coach does that if they've commited.
No, they do, happened many times.
Any suggestions on the best way to decommit? We found ourselves in a situation and considering going to another team, much closer to home, no 407 necessary and cheaper $3k less. Nervous to get him and us a bad reputation. Is it something that happens often? Money is tight and that $3k is needed for the household expenses

Grow a pair and be a father. Your kid comes first. Who cares what a u11 coach thinks. I can tell you, they will turn your back on you in a heartbeat. Don't worry about burning bridges. If your kid is a stud, it won't matter all that much
