Foff Pal, you have no idea how hard it is to move from a Select Player into the G. Finally it happens and then they fold. You have no idea. By this age you should trust the organization and coaches. Games for spots and team should be well over.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 1:37 pmTrusted them with what? Did they ever tell you they had a guaranteed team in place? You think they wanted to fold?Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 12:24 pmI trusted the Caps and now have to shop around. It is tough on kids and families to find a home at this stage of the hockey season. Reality is very few spots opened at 'tryouts'. Buyers beware.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:57 amWhat were they supposed to have done? with only 6 kids committed, there was no way that a team was going to be put together.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:25 amI just spoke to the GM of the org and they are disappointed with how this unfolded. That's unfortunate. People think they know how to coach but in reality they only know how to complain.
Why let a team with 5 wins, that would have been worse this year continue?
Survival of the fittest. It will make the division better. Now the Avs will have last place all to themselves.
Why do teams have to continue, just for the sake of it? This is the G, not house league.
You should all be ashamed at yourselves. Your running around town attending skates and yet you have a team of your own. You should be embarrassed.
With almost all of the Avs leaving, there were just not enough players to have the same amount of teams in this division, it was just simple math.
With the season the caps had and with all of the coaching drama, the new Avs were a better draw for players and the Caps had no choice but to fold.
Of course the Org is disappointed, but ultimately, they chose the coaches and the made the wrong choices.
Hopefully, the kids that want to play can find spots.
Grow up and due your own due diligence. Nothing is guaranteed until it's done.

If your kid was trying to make the move from select to A going into U17,
A) He was only given a spot because the team was DESPERATE
B) He would have got eaten alive.
I'm sorry, but it's a good thing that the team folded. If they were even considering select players, they would not have won one game.
Was your kid the best player in tier one select this year? I mean, the absolute best, without a doubt? If he was, then maybe he would have been in the bottom 5% of A. If not, he would have have not have stood a chance. It's just the truth. Stay in select and let him enjoy himself. The Caps folding was the best thing that happened to him.
Re: 2008 GTHL A WEST
Its a joke. They fire DG to protect their own kid and now they cant even form a team. I hope no one takes them this season. Go scramble now looking for a team.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 11:29 am Caps fold and surprisingly all is quiet here.

GTC. Announcement coming next week on website. Reach out to contact details for skate information.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 6:54 pmIf this were true it would actually be good news for a change. What team?
Re: 2008 GTHL A WEST
Team will still be weak. Don’t buy into what they’re selling. Same crap every year, doesn’t matter who is coaching. Only selfish players heading there. GTC will still be a shit show with some new faces.
