There’s no reason for a 2k deposit on day 1 of tryouts in April!
Why stop at 2? Why not 3,4,5.
It would make sense to take a sensible deposit on sizing day.
The system is corrupt and broken.

How can families with multiple kids compete in competitive hockey?
Costs are out of control.
Organizations are Non profit? Ya ok lol

7-15k winter budget
$ for spring summer
+ Travel
+ extras
You’re looking at 15-30+ per kid

In some past age groups, you might see a special player all the way through. This is not the norm. The 2011’s don’t have a ‘special player’, atleast in the G. The top players in u16 will be the players who have been taught to play hockey properly and have strong IQ for the game. By U16, size, skating and skill are just a ticket to the dance.

Watched 4 Marlie games this year and have never seen anything from the kid in a game not a single point. Nothing. Invisible and he is out there all the time. He won’t be in hockey after next year.
