Stamkos played all his minor hockey in the OMHA
Who did the Soviets play against before the fall of communism? How did they get good at hockey without the GTHL?
So did Mcdavid, oh and how is Crosby and Bedard do as good as they did being so far removed from the G?
McDavid played his last 3 years with the Marlies you moron. Look it up.
LOL hey moron, you think it was those last 3 years that put him on the map?
The only thing the GTHL has over the OMHA is deep pockets and even bigger egos. Can’t blame McDavid or any other OMHA kid for taking a free ride. If someone offers my kid a private school education and free hockey in a few years then I will be tempted. For now, he will play on a top OMHA team that will beat up on 9/12 GTHL teams. Oh, and they will do it by developing the kids within our boundary and not by recruiting. The best GTHL coaches are the best recruiters, the best OMHA coaches actually have to put in the work.
McDavid tried to leave YSE for years but they kept denying his release until the family moved. He did not take a free ride with the Marlies 😂
There is better coaching, more competition and more resources in the G. The depth of talent is not even comparable.
OMHA and alliance benches are full of ex Jr C & B plugs whose crappy kid is on the team. There’s a reason between U10 and U14 the G teams destroy OMHA and Alliance cream puffs. If those leagues had good players when they were young, that wouldn’t happen.

actually it was his time with the Marlies that put McDavid on the map. You think it was when he was 9, 10 years old? you really are stupid.

You have no idea what you are writing about. McDavid played up and won 4 OMHA championships. Went to the Marlies 2011 and was the best player from day one, got exceptional player status in 2012 and went the Otters. Typical Toronto arrogant trash, spew off about things you know nothing about. He was on the map since age 9 buddy, just not the GTHL map.

3 years with the Marlies after escaping the shithole OMHA. That’s where he learned hockey, in the G. Don’t type if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

How many G players drafted last night vs OMHA? Oh ya 7 to 1.

I don’t have enough time to fact check you but I do know that an underage McDavid who developed in the OMHA ripped the G apart in his first year. I also know that the top pick in the OHl and QMJHL drafts were from the OMHA this year. Finally, after playing spring hockey in Toronto, it smells like shit and traffic sucks.

Again you prove how stupid you are. In U16 Josh Ho-Sang led the Marlies in points, not McDavid. Look it up.
GTHL teams held the top 2 rankings in every age group from
U10 - U15. Enjoy your farmer pond hockey next year while G teams wipe their a$$ with your kid.
