One of the posters summed it up perfectly. Sign up for all winter, spring, summer camps. Sponsor teams in Spring and take private lessons. You will get a spot like the majority doing the same. Few kids will get picked because they will have some other spots to fill and those will be based on most talented.

Not true from my experience. Kids made our team that never tried out and or skates once with the company

LH will pick the best kids, runs a great development practice, and actually has some hockey knowledge. I think our 15s will fair well this year. I see a championship coming back to TO.

2-3 kids max will be outside the kids that are at every camp and clinic. If you have the money and are decent you will make the Brick. By no means are all the best kids playing Brick.

LH and ML/GL have been calling me for the last month to attend their camps. I didn't go to TBD and wont be at PH's either. This just goes to show you that you don't need to go to these camps to be on these teams.

I declined to play for either of their teams this past spring/summer as well. Yet here we are they are still calling me, so the joke is on all you parents who think you have to do everything with these two organizations. IF your kid is good he's good its that simple.

See you all at the 2025 brick :)

Well first of all that’s a lie, LH wouldn’t call you. WB would have to bless you playing with his all star.

…And ML and GL don’t phone players, players phone the TBD. That’s why they win championships.

Of course they are calling you. They are calling and emailing me as well but we decided not to go this time around. They are calling not only you and I but everyone on their list.

Hopefully brick is a fun experience for the kids with minimal harassment from adults. Hopefully people can just live their life and we can support each other, or mind own business. Brick? Nice! No brick? Nice! Scored a bunch of goals at brick? Excellent. Doesn’t? Also excellent. Who cares, Be nice.

The cheque didn’t bounce? … we would love to have your son and or daughter join us for an elite assessment camp.

I suppose its fun for the kids, and if you have that kind of money to spend and not really get any "real" development out of it, then enjoy it.

My kids not good enough likely, but even if he was, there is no way we could afford it. We are lucky we can barely afford AAA hockey.

I have a few friends whos kids have been going to the skates, and playing for their spring/summer teams the last couple of years. I wouldn't call any of their kids the top 15-20 kids in the province. They are all solid AAA players, but anyone who thinks that their kid is the "top kids" in the province if they go is being silly.

Good luck to those that go, I am sure its a fun time - and memorable for the kids.
