Ottawa U18 2022/23 Season
Re: Ottawa U18 2022/23 Season
If you are a 2007, stay in U18AA and avoid Junior at all costs. Too many 2007s are in the USPHL or EHL where they will just be wasting time and money in a bad environment.

Why, because Jr. B is better than U18, rhey play against older players, and rhey can supplement their lower ice time with quality private options if they chose. Your Rep B kid would be stapled to the bench if he was lucky enough to make a bottom end Jr. B team.
Many players in Jr. B are done wirh the crap Jr A league, and understand the dream is over. They play high quality hockey and move on with school or work.
Keep chasin wanna be

Why would anyone leave home to play in low level Jr. B leagues in the US? And they have to billet!! Ahahahahaha

Sounds like someone trying to justify staying in the comfy confines of the tiny U18AAA worldGuest wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 11:16 am You have to wonder why these 07 kids are playing in the Jr B league. Ask yourself how many Junior B's actually move up anywhere? If you are playing locally for Junior B, no problem. Just keep expectations low. Few Junior b's every move to Junior A. They may promise to "call you up" but, truth is they will take proven A players because there are always a bunch to choose from.

One JrB team alone from last season moved like half of those players up to JrA this season lolGuest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:55 pm Ask yourself how many Junior B's actually move up anywhere? No Jr B team had half a roster move up to Jr A this year.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 9:12 amOne JrB team alone from last season moved like half of those players up to JrA this season lolGuest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:55 pm Ask yourself how many Junior B's actually move up anywhere? Those teams that had a handful of players move up, most of them are having very little impact on their team.
Great for the kids that are having an impact on their team. But for the others, what is better as a 17 or 18 year old, playing fourth line minutes / healthy scratch at Jr A, or play Jr B with a top six role and PK or PP time?
Re: Ottawa U18 2022/23 Season
Nobody said it was better to play sparingly in JrA rather than playing more in JrB. But "few Jr Bs ever move to JrA" is just straight up wrongGuest wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 8:35 pmNo Jr B team had half a roster move up to Jr A this year.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 9:12 amOne JrB team alone from last season moved like half of those players up to JrA this season lolGuest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:55 pm Ask yourself how many Junior B's actually move up anywhere? I didn't say few Jr B's move to Jr A. But I called BS on "One JrB team alone from last season moved like half of those players up to JrA this season".Guest wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 9:47 amNobody said it was better to play sparingly in JrA rather than playing more in JrB.
