Why not move AP to the G like they just did with Richmond Hill?Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 4:33 pmAAA Raiders has always been a disaster, its going to take moving a mountain to fix it. I have no doubt the pickering crew will be able to do this. Only 2 Raider board members left, they only place you ever see them is at the U18 AAA games. I am not sure the ajax and pickering even wanted them.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 8:24 amLook at the 09 team and the trash behind the bench and it hasn’t changed enough. Raiders have never been shy about booting someone who wasn’t an insider from the perch. They did it to the 09’s years ago in Minor Atom. What they have a problem doing is recognizing when an insider is toxic and cancerous and riding them of that problem. Most of the AAA teams in this organization are made up of kids who don’t reside in Ajax or Pickering yet they will hold back kids who want to go elsewhere. There are up to a dozen kids in the 09 age group playing aaa elsewhere that WANTED to play for the raiders. Now that “super” team is imploding like all the others.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 11:16 amPickering was certainly far better run than ajax ever was. Its pretty evident to anyone from Ajax. All the lies they told about Pickering for years were never true and now we see for ourselves. Everyone seems way happier. However my other son that plays AAA, its still a complete mess. Hoepfully they can fix that too. Lets see what happens, but for the first time someone is making good decisions with AAA coaches for the most part and has no bones bout tossing the bad ones even if its mid season.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 2:53 pmso here is my expience, my kid played in Ajax and ended on a mixed Ajax Pickering team. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt its night and day.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 4:19 pm How are families finding the transition to APR? Is there a void from not having a rooted Ajax organization? A sacrifice around hockey development? Maybe a longing for championships that were so common with Knights Rep Teams?
I had no idea what the other side was like. The pickering parents told me it was always like this, the PHA was very well run so they dont see much of a difference. We have development which is awsome, ajax never did that, our emails are getting answered ajax never did that and for the first time no one is crying about about coaches. Ajax was dead anyway. The had 11 rep teams and had they no done this everyone was coming to Pickering. There were some bad ajax coaches they allowed to coach but i guess that was part of the deal. Hopefully they can fix the AAA mess, their teams are not very good.

Exactly what you are seeing at APR in AAA will start to appear in AA/A and potentially even house league. AMHA needs to come back. This experiment is not going to work.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 2:50 pm Pickering hockey is a joke and has been for a long time. Now that Ajax and Pickering has come together it has not changed much at all. Way to many parent coahes still. The AAA in most ages are not doing well. Same goes for AA and A. They need to stay together for numbers tho. My kid is at the age he can leave and go elsewhere and thank God. See ya AP
Re: Ajax Knights (AMHA) or Ajax Pickering Raiders
You can humor yourself all you want, all the ajax people now realize how bad it really was. To a coach, to a person everyone is overwhelmed how good things are now. We will never forget, "parents dont pick coaches, not now not ever" that will live forever and be on the AMHA tombstone.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 7:43 pmExactly what you are seeing at APR in AAA will start to appear in AA/A and potentially even house league. I am looking at the Lakeshore Standings, AA/A and not seeing one APR in first place. How many championships will be one this year? Wider pool of kids and less championships? Enough said!Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 10:40 amYou can humor yourself all you want, all the ajax people now realize how bad it really was. Re: Ajax Knights (AMHA) or Ajax Pickering Raiders
I've been seeing these posts about the former glory days of AMHA and Lakeshore League championships, so I was like hey let me have a look at some old standings. The 2014-15 Minor Atom AA Ajax Knights finished the season 0-31-1 with a -222 goal differential.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:54 pmI am looking at the Lakeshore Standings, AA/A and not seeing one APR in first place. Re: Ajax Knights (AMHA) or Ajax Pickering Raiders
If you ask me the PHA was so dumb. Ajax was about to fail they had 11 rep teams, in the last year and I know our team was heading over if amalgamation did not happen. Had Pickering held off Ajax was going to fail. Ajax won big here and the ajax president is saying it's all Ajax.
Re: Ajax Knights (AMHA) or Ajax Pickering Raiders
I think you need to do more homework before you post look at U13 down, a lot of teams moving on and many did really well in the OMHA playdowns.
Pickering development programs have helped those ajax players that had no development ever from the Ajax minor hockey. I cant tell you enough what a difference people make in running an association.
Re: Ajax Knights (AMHA) or Ajax Pickering Raiders
Listen,, I know the 2013 APR U13AA. No question this was a better team under AMHA. You merged the teams with Pickering and we got worse. Why? Lack of focus around development, community and championships. How are we going to win Lakeshore iD we can’t win Silver Stick ? Need AMHA and their thought leadership to come bac. I have seen enough.
Re: Ajax Knights (AMHA) or Ajax Pickering Raiders
Totally agree. This experiment has failed. Going to be tough but lets bring back AMHA and a progressive board for minor hockey in Ajax. This community deserves championships.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 4:16 pm Listen,, I know the 2013 APR U13AA. No question this was a better team under AMHA.
