Correct the privileges that come from nepotismGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 4:17 amWe were talking about nepotism not privilegeGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 1:33 amGuest wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 1:31 pmPro Sports is one of the only places in the world where nepotism does not exist. Unfortunately this year that was tested with Bronny James playing for the Lakers, however I would challenge you to find other examples. Anyone playing sports is there on merit. Too much at stake.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 9:40 amThat's crap. You think coaches don't want their kids to work hard? We are talking about youth hockey here. What real advantage does a coach of a youth hockey team have? How about NHL players kids and high school/college coaches kids? Those are the ones who get all the benefits. I see kids who are HORRIBLE but because dad played in the NHL or is a coach at a college the kid gets EVERYTHING. Please just stop with youth hockey coaches getting ANYthing. All they get is a headache from the PARENTS. Many of the parents in our org are disgusting. Entitled, gross and whine the moment they think someone else gets more playing time even if their kid is the slowest one out there.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 9:49 pm False allegations can be made against anyone at anytime it has nothing to do with coaching hockey. The answer is parent coaches making sure their kid keeps an advantage at all times especially with extra ice time. Most of these guys are narcissists and just can't stand the thought of their kids having to work as hard as all the other kids.
It 100% exists in minor and pro sports. It's also exists in politics and it exists in business and there's a lot at stake as well in those areas..
About 15% of pros are only there cuz they were given privileged opportunities when they were younger and wouldn't be there on talent alone. Those are facts.
Why would anyone coach hockey??

How about parent coaches that play their fat kids that can’t skate? They claimed to be professional hockey players from a country that isn’t known for hockey. It’s actually located in a desert.
yeah now both the coaches kids quit hockey. Don’t even play. The team got relegated and they got thrown out of being coaches.
