There are only a handful of kids who are truly potential AAA candidates. If parents are smart top 5/6 teams will stay together at the core and try to improve from the bottom up.

Mid to bottom teams are where the turnover should happen. Jets and terriers should fold. Then the whole loop would be great next season.
There is not a single kid in AA that would crack a top 6 AAA team. At that point what is the point in going AAA, stay in AA and develop on a good team, dont chase the extra letter for your own ego
I agree. There's really nobody dominating the league in AA. I watched DMF game last night and SR16 was on another level in a AAA game. It wasn't even fair. He would score 10 goals a game in AA.
Haven’t been following this loop much but for those that may be moving to AA, what are the best teams for development? Any teams running a AAA style/intensity program? Preferably with a psycho-free parent group.
Stay away from tigers, rangers Forsure.
What's wrong with Tigers and Rangers? From afar both look slightly above average teams.
Tigers coaching staff in short: a) drunk whose underage son is no good, b) old guy from who you might catch emphysema if you walk past him and his 5 packs a day habit and c) crazy yeller.

Rangers parents are nuts, coaching nuts, can’t get over the fact that all the good kids went to the Panthers.

the best coaches are in the east. that is a fact. professional and know how to teach the game. sure the best teams are in the west but that's cuz there's more kids out there and they all migrate to the same teams. go to skates in the east and thank me leater.
This. SIR is the top in the East for actual coaching. The worst is NYK.
What's wrong with the NYK coach. Because he's loud and not the typical parent coach that's OK with just showing up. And he wants kids that want to be there.
Aren’t you suspended, NYK coach? Or is this the other one?

Screaming at kids and shortening a bench in a mid season game, first period, is not coaching. You took kids that didn’t make AAA and call it a “program”. That’s some development you’ve done.

Keep wandering around rinks begging other top kids to join your team next year, nobody is coming.
Love the rumor mill.

Say goodbye to your top kids.

Sounds like the comment of a parent whose child was cut from the team. If you’re looking for equal ice time, house league might be a better fit. Ice time is earned through effort and performance—if your child isn’t giving their best at practice or during games, they shouldn’t expect more. Too many parents here seem out of touch. Choosing a coach isn’t something you do in a forum; you attend their practices, talk to the parents of players on the team, observe their drills, and watch how the team performs during games. It’s not difficult to assess a coach’s style and strategy. One last piece of advice: steer clear of teams with parent coaches.

I met the NYK coach recently and had a good conversation with him. He's played the game at a high level and he cares. Definitely a good option for kids next year. If you don't believe me reach out to him yourself.

The race in the west is heating up for that 6th playoff spot!

Similar questions, but have a Goalie in Select and looking to move to AA. Which teams are best for goalie development? My sense is that all of the G is geared toward players...

This. For others - when you have a game the day as practice, does your practice get rescheduled or does it stay canceled?
