This is some f$&ktard replying. I’m the original poster. He will likely play JrA next year, USHL the following year then NCAA the year after that. Then who knows. Long road still ahead.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 7:59 amI should note that my kid skipped grade 7 because he is so smart. We could be getting another college commitment next week. If SAC can get to 90% then maybe we will consider letting them have my son play for the school.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 6:48 amGuest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 5:34 pmWhat grade is your kid entering in September?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 7:52 amHe has plenty of options at this point. Projected 1st/2nd round OHL pick. Three different USHL schools are interested. He will likely play either JrA in Canada or USHL to keep his NCAA eligibility open. Already has offers from two different US colleges. I was only trying to establish if sending him to play in St Andrews was another possible option. But it sounds like it won’t be in our family’s budget and that’s ok. That’s why I said if I can send him with a 80% discount I probably would for one year. Then he would play either OHL or USHL the following year.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:03 amGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 5:19 pm
Foff .. my kid is plenty good enough. He would put them over the op to beat the likes of St Mikes or UCC. Want to get 80% subsidized.
If he was that good you wouldn’t be so desperate, you’d have plenty of other offers. Sounds like the end of his career is in sight and you’re pressing the panic button. Good luck.
Entering grade 8

Re: St. Andrew’s College Actual Costs
Why on earth is the tab of $70k/year going around with St. Andrews. Why not send him to UCC for $35K including board. Better school, better reputation, better team.
Re: St. Andrew’s College Actual Costs
Nowhere close to a better team. They are so far apart in quality for hockey. Both schools are great - yes UCC probably more academic. Point isn’t what school is better, it’s where can I get a great education while playing elite level hockeyGuest wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 7:30 am Why on earth is the tab of $70k/year going around with St. Andrews. Re: St. Andrew’s College Actual Costs
Very few kids are going to NCAA right out of high school. Average age is 20 these days.

My kid is special. Just need that 80% scholarship then ohl then ushl then ncaa who has already made their offers. It’s a process.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 8:18 am Very few kids are going to NCAA right out of high school. Average age is 20 these days.

God, the man-children that troll this site make it almost impossible for adults to have a real conversation. It’s hard to believe that these “men” actually function in society.
Re: St. Andrew’s College Actual Costs
Can someone clarity, how much is St Andrews a year? How much is UCC for a year? No boarding.
Re: St. Andrew’s College Actual Costs
They’re both 40K without boarding or 70K with.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Mar 12, 2023 6:03 am Can someone clarity, how much is St Andrews a year? How much is UCC for a year? No boarding.
Re: St. Andrew’s College Actual Costs
You won’t play elite level hockey at either and why would you pay $35k extra just to play hockey at SAC? You sound like you don’t have any other options budGuest wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 7:49 amNowhere close to a better team. They are so far apart in quality for hockey.
