Guest wrote: Mon May 08, 2023 9:35 am NYK - New coach, lost most of the top players, ran a crazy number of skates. No idea, but it won't be the team it was last year - revert towards .500
NTH - Mostly unchanged, maybe a very minor upgrade - should be a .500 team
LF - Little movement. Favorite to win the division again
TRT - Little movement. Near .500 again
ARD - Little movement - but probably improved a bit - will again eek out a .600 record
MI - Had a poor record last 15 games of last season. Lost good players, replaced with lower end players, and picked up the YM goalie? Will finish near bottom.
SIR - Upgraded - should get back to .500+ range.
YM - N/A - at least did an organized fold vs surprising people at tryout
TA - will they win a game? Only leftovers who couldn't make another team. Even the YM kids mostly avoided it, haha.

Division will be competitive amongst top 6-7 teams. That is good.
MI cut 3 bottom kids and added SIR's 2 top players and a strong AA kid.
False.
Absolutely not false
How'd yesterdays skate go?

I'll stick with the initial statement of False.
Went great, new kids coming and signed as expected.

I am looking forward to the season opener.
What team was he on and what team is he joining?

Thoughts on some of the teams in the East you've seen in the past?

TA will surprise people this year. They will win games this year, which is more then what could be said about York Mills.

Yeah the “TA will they win a game” just tells you they haven’t been to a skate and seen the team.

What team did the kids who make the bulk of the TA core come from?

I didn't see any particular team having a large amount of players represented. Just a bunch of kids who can play.

YM won one game. That's the over-under betting line for TA.
bunch of kids who came from nowhere isn't a strong statement. but i'm sure excellent coaching will turn them into world beaters. lets see in january

Agreed. Dont think there are too many kids who know each other on the team so they will definitely be learning things together as a unit. Like any team, there are some strong kids, average kids, and weaker kids. Some kids moving up to A from Select, Some kids from A moving laterally, and a couple of AA kids dropping down. No ones suggesting that they are going to take the league by storm, but they will be competitive every single night and they will win games. Strength will be coaching, speed, and shooting.

York Mills gets a bad rap. Having watched them play last year, despite their record, they looked pretty good at times.
