Define superstar? Let’s assume the nhl consists of 5% superstars. That’s only 30 superstars from around the world and of all ages. And you think it’s a disappointment that you don’t see one in the 2011 age group in the GTHL. Give your head a shake you clown!Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 4:25 pmSure, but how many of these kids played together and couldn't even make it to the finals. They all have pieces but none of them are a cut above. The most athletic and dedicated will start to pull away over the coming year or two as those who weren't early puberty kids catch up. Would be nice to see someone play who you can say 'that kids going to be a superstar' but I don't see it for this age group.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 4:09 pmGuest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 9:53 amGuest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 9:15 amGuestA wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 7:51 am Top 10 F from the G

Re: 2011 AAA
The Canadian system is designed to produce superstars at the sacrifice of producing mass NHL'ers. Everyone wants to pour all the energy, attention, extra ice, money etc etc at the early developer (usually an early maturer). The marketing machine then takes over...promote, promote promote the same kids for years and cross your fingers something happens. It is beyond dumb and most times you are ending up with a Shane Wright. Really okay hockey player but NO superstar as was touted all along.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 5:10 pmAnother savant who can tell the future. Must be a top scout. Save your guesses. Re: 2011 AAA
So even the super stars aren’t super stars… Got it. We should focus on the mediocre players now, in the hopes that they surprise everyone and outperform the kids with early signs of talent. This way everyone is mediocre in the end. Sounds like communism.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 9:46 pmThe Canadian system is designed to produce superstars at the sacrifice of producing mass NHL'ers. Re: 2011 AAA
This idea of boys who enter puberty early somehow being destined for failure has nothing to do with their athletic abilities. The key is identifying kids who are talented, athletic, driven, dedicated, and smart. To be an elite performer in anything you need raw athletism, skill, and brains.
I know there is a desire to knock kids down but the argument about the kid made a top 10 list because the matured early is so dumb.
I will spare you the post. I know you will be tossing one in my wife because that is dumb.

Re: 2011 AAA
Sure , keep ranking 11/12 yr olds but don't take it to seriously.
We all should know by now hockey doesn't start until U14 (minor bantam)
Alot of the so called talent will start to fade away very soon, happens every year in minor bantam . Some kids Excell with hitting and alot just don't.

nhl superstar, lol... you must be joking. those kids don't play in their age group. I mean someone who is going to light it up in mm or possibly the o and then maybe have a sniff of the nhl. nobody really gives off that vibe. that's not to say it won't happen for one of these kids, but that separation from the pack just isn't there.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 4:38 pmDefine superstar? Just remember. If your kid is being mentioned here good or bad it means he’s a good player because people are talking about him. Everyone knows it. If he wasn’t no one would be talking about him. So if he’s getting trashed it means jealous people that know nothing are lying about things and can’t get over things. I saw SW get trashed on here for years and he ends up being the 4th overall NHL pick. Keep talking most people on here know nothing.
