Mayor of Thornhill wrote: Mon May 15, 2023 9:02 am Shamrocks will destroy every team. It is not hard to figure out. Goulding Park Rangers AA GTHL champions - 2 years in a row - dropping down to play as the Shamrocks in A. Let it go. Do not worry about what the coach is getting paid. Focus on you and your team.
Interesting , a two year champion drops down to " destroy every A team." Why not try for a three peat? This team is looking for competitive hockey or ego boosts? $23,000 can buy lot snake oil. I am assuming you bought can of oil as well. 36-0 amazing ! Looking fwd to playing the SHAMrocks, in fact the single A loop is eagerly awaiting for the Shamrock debacle version no 2.
Obsess much? This topic has been posted to death. No one gives 2 $h!ts about this age group/level of hockey, except you. If you don't like it, play HL or prep your kid to destroy this group of sandbaggers. Either way you sound pretty desperate amigo
Hey amigo. Maybe people are pissed off that the team lied to them when reforming the team last year. People are allowed to be pissed that they were used. The team was dead. If it weren’t for the promises made by the coach that they were going to be a top team and that this would be the team they’d stay on. They used parents to get them a bridge year to bring down 10 players from AA. Obviously people do give 2 shits about this level of hockey. Why else would people like you come in here to troll. Being pissed that an over rated skills coach who’s not even good at that lied to them and took advantage of kids. It’s just hockey. Imagine that. Being lied to pissed people off.
At the end of the day it won’t matter. EB, FT and NS, the organization directors destroyed the org. They can’t get enough kids to put together any team other than U17. Was it worth the 50k EB paid for the org just so his kid doesn’t get hit anymore lol.
Sounds like your kid was obviously a "parent cut". Too bad because he was a great A player. Hope he has better grades than his old man had.

Could it be that the kids have other priorities next year, want to just play with their friends and have nothing else to prove, or would that be too logical of a thought ? They are 16

Exactly,

At this age, my kid makes all the hockey decisions. not me.

Hell, he even drives himself to almost all of the practices and games and I just write the checks, watch and enjoy.

Those GP boys had an epic run and still love hockey, but want to focus more on school and social aspects of their lives, including playing with all of their buddies. They are still competitors, but know the there is no OHL or US scholarships in their future, and playing competitive hockey with their friends is better than the AA grind and potential injuries associated with it.

Does it suck for some of the Shammy players that got bumped? Sure, but that's been minor hockey from day one. No one has a guaranteed spot and players are leaving teams themselves all the time.

Hopefully those kids that got bumped, found another team and have a great year. If not, that's part of life and unless they are self employed, they can get the bump from any job when better talent is available.

Go enjoy the summer.

Coach Clap at GPR having his boys headhunt in Canlan tourney. Almost severely injured a kid with a knee on Knee.
Coach Clap also threatening to kick the shit out of 16 year old boys on the opposing team.
Have fun next yr GPR with your loser hired coach. Rumour is he likes the boys as well…and maybe a father on the team.

Good luck to shammies. Totally get them wanting to drop and will make a more interesting year next year. Parents who got cut had no issue with other kids being cut the previous year and their kid getting a spot but now that they are cut its an issue. Have a great summer everyone.

Shamrocks don't need luck ,they are going 36-0, at least that's what the HC promised. The SHAMrock organization is fielding 3 teams out of 18 A and AA slots. Obviously, players/parents are not to eager to join the Shamrock bandwagon, with the exception of GPR parent group.

How many track suits has your kid collected? The organization means nothing at this level (or any other for that matter) It's all about people.
