Question... How are the PH players who sit on the bench entire games liking it? Teams will be shortening benches come Edmonton. These tournaments are an opportunity to see who can do what and how well the can manage the pressure. Good luck getting away with some of the penalties in Edmonton. Refs will be all over this shit.

No secret to any one watched TBD games that ML been rolling lines all spring never shortened his bench. PH been playing with a few players sitting a lot every game (twins, GD, LA, EW) and getting 4-5 shifts or less per game. They got almost zero ice in the semi on Sunday. TBD will likely shorten bench at brick but PH already shortening it now. Not saying one philosophy is better than another but it does show the best the PH team can be right now while TBD may improve with a shorter bench but will have to wait til brick to see. Time will tell still a few weeks left

Re: Brick 2023
Hold up: Edmonton is different because the ice is smaller and everyone shortens their bench? I don’t get it. If most of these teams have played each other already, what’s the trip to Edmonton for? It seems like you’ve done the important part already (play against the best), so what’s so great about this experience?
Lugging hockey equipment across the country: $350
Eating team meals with insufferable parents: $1000+
Flights for the family: $3000+
Hotel for a week: $1500+
Team fees: $5000+
Playing against the same teams from the last 2 months on smaller ice in the arm pit of Canada: priceless!
I guess I’m just jealous my ankle biter couldn’t crack the line up while these grocery sticks paid thousands to watch their big-ice-dependent teammates play hockey at a mall in Deadmonton.
Have fun!

Florida panthers lost the majority of their regular season games to Boston and Toronto. I guess they should’ve canceled the playoffs this year.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 7:16 am Hold up: Edmonton is different because the ice is smaller and everyone shortens their bench? The fact you’re comparing the Brick to NHL playoffs tells me everything I need to know.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 8:52 amFlorida panthers lost the majority of their regular season games to Boston and Toronto.
