That’s pretty standard, 135 lb fwds, big kids with zero hockey sense. lots of inflated info as well. A lot of head scratchers. Past the 2nd or third, they’re just guessing at what these kids will mature into. Top 2-3 rounds need to be ready to play, the rest of the pack are projects, full of deficits that they hope grow into players one day.

It seems this year the same people who ranked players didn’t pick the same players by ranking. Is there any connection to keeping GTHL parents happy so the investigations into inappropriate payments to coaches stays quiet? If a parent who pays a G coach doesn’t get their kid drafted, that parent has nothing to lose to bring forth information. If the kid gets drafted, the parents will keep quiet. The gift giver did nothing wrong but the gift getter has potentially committed a crime. That makes the motivation more than just about money. Now that a major political party in the provincial government is calling for an inquest, anyone with dirt and nothing to lose and a grudge could come forward.

This ^^^ can't be repeated enough.
It also goes a lot deeper in trying to cover it all up, the G is now contemplating leaving Hockey Canada so it can all be deemed normal business. Rather than cutting the rot out, they want to legitimize it.
