Congrats to KL from TBD and RS from PH for getting to enjoy the tournament as 12 year olds.

Guest wrote: Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:57 pm Not just LA. KW not a goal, GD not a point, EW not contributing. Godfathers kid no production. It was a disaster from the start and MA and MM theyre best players I feel bad for Nik and the family with the horrible team they put together. They left alot of good talent back home and the omha kids were a disaster.

Some PH player stats after 8 GAMES:

EW - 1 goal

LA - 1 goal

KW - 0 goals

Cap - 2 goals

ZGB - 0 goals

JP - 0 goals

M Cov - 0 goals, 1 pt

FH - 0 goals

JH - 0 goals

GDB - 0 goals, 0 points

JHoll - 1 pt

Both Asssssalllllsss - 0 points

Every one of the above kids could not compete at this level and those stats prove it.
Now re do this list with contributions to be on the team.

This is terrible. Agents kid and LA were like toddlers trying to play with middle school kids. Too small and easy to push off the puck. There were other small kids on the team but they stood out the most on tv. The commentators even mentioned their lack of size hurting them in puck battles. Not their fault but size does matter in every level of competitive hockey and in games like these where every kid is just as skilled if not more so, it makes these smaller kids obsolete.
The Red Rooster must be losing it

His kid didn’t score a goal in 8 games so I’m sure it was humbling or it should have been anyway. Kids like KW or EA from areas like Quinte or LA from Hamilton or even better the northern kids on the BD team you won’t see playing any meaningful hockey again.

They just aren’t studs and will return to their second rate leagues and fade away. Same will happen to the agents kid and some others in the G but we’ll be able to watch them get fazed out over the next couple years because they’re local. The others will just sort of disappear.
That’s how it works every year after the brick I saw it with my 09 sons team. Just how it goes. That’s why it’s important to cherish the moments they had and make great memories.

well it’s true you won’t see all the usual kids at every summer tournament any more after this year.

lmao the coaches picked the players, openly it’s not a secret. Asked who wanted to do it. #4 with 1 point in 8 games and #11 with 2 points made it. Don’t pretend it’s anything important. Look at BD - JG who only got 3 points is doing it.

All Star teams are announced after the finals every year.

That makes sense otherwise why did no one from MTL or Minn make it
Brick organization picks the team and tells the coaches who they want. Game is at 9 am today before the finals. MN and Montreal can’t play because they are in finals. They still get the jerseys for the kids that would have been chosen.

No, we’ll be trashing these Toronto brick teams for the remaining years of minor hockey. Worst Toronto showing at the brick in history.

This tournament is so toxic. 15k to say you played in it. Parents on here chirping kids. For those that can afford it and those that deserved to be there, congrats.

The majority of kids, Brick or not, do not make the NHL.

Stay humble.

They’re 9/ 10 yrs old. Some will continue to succeed and some will not. It’s a long road. If you think this tournament means something bigger or that a scoring title at 9 is relevant, you’re fooling yourself.

Travel home safely.

Not true at all, the coaches pick the teams. I saw it. You’ll see after the finals when they announce the all star team. Otherwise they would have at least announced who made it from MTL and MINN not just give them jerseys secretly after the finals.

When kids who only had 1 or 2 points made the team, you know it’s just for fun.

This makes more sense. If this game meant anything they would recognize who made it from Montreal and Minnesota even if they couldn’t play.
