Lots of changes at this age but a top A player can’t really be compared to a top AA player who might be kind of able to play bottomAAA. Skating ability is different
You were on something until the last sentence. I know quite a few of A players who are better skaters than most AA players, and even some AAA players, but they are still A level players.
but… what if there is a player who currently plays at the SELECT level and can outperform and outmuscle anyone in AA’ and easily play GTHL AAA’ tomorrow if they really wanted to. However chooses to plays for the love of the game instead. To good to be true ?
There are a couple of 8 year olds at my local rink playing shinny who can be 100 points scorers in NHL right away, but their moms don’t let them because they will not have time for a homework.
EGO statement. ^^^

Oh my god dude. You know “Quite a few A” that are skating “better than most AA” and some AAA. No! No! No you don’t! No one who currently plays AA would ever say something like that. Only an A dad coming up to AA, who has set unreasonable expectations for their kid. Dude - your kid was probably pretty good in A, and he’ll probably be ok in AA, but you’ll soon find out that moving up 1 level changes everything. Stop thinking your superstar A kid will also be a superstar AA kid. Because he won’t be. Just so you know, it’s exactly like saying a superstar houseleague/select kid would be a superstar A kid. And since you’re coming from A, you can relate to that. Lower your expeditions man. You’ll soon see the difference.

Relax, I’m talking only about skating component, oracle. Hockey is more than just skating.

Asking for a friend. Is it becoming more common for a team to do a trip outside of North America for hockey?

Never heard of an AA team traveling outside of NA. So I guess it's not common.
