Guest wrote: Tue Dec 05, 2023 4:25 pm Can we please discuss this "Team Ontario" team!!!!! Must have a list of, who will pay the bill first, then who will be ok to sit the bench, then who will top up coaches pocket. May this age group is in for some surprises
Which Team Ontario bud? Biosteel World Invite or the Best of the Best (that sounds so corny).
Actually the answer for both is “theyre both a joke. waste of $.” Some joining because its a free ride and others well they pay the big $ because of FOMO and think they’re getting something of value”. Both teams will get smashed in all the tournies they enter next summer.
Spring hockey lol

TM goalies dad runs a goalie school. lol.
So, 34, the 2 underage players 66, 86 and the 2 goalies are useless? I think there’s more than just that
My guess would be
34 good enough to keep. The need to keep some of the D intact
86 and 66 good underagers but will most likely need to go back to 2011s.
TM needs a complete changeout. Culture is bad, cancerous attitudes. Unfortunately others do not have the skill sets or IQ to be associate with the crest.
 66 is a 2010. Was 97 I believe. His game had dropped off significantly because of size.
Dad’s the one that started the lynch mob. Now trying to stir things up again with interim coaches. Org knows the past issues but AC protected them so I’ll hazard to guess that 66 will be gone end of the season as well. Plus TM won’t be able to recruit if dad is still there. One post stated that some of these players will have difficulty finding a new home come next season.
Pro tip don’t be bad teammates, or be a crazy parent and burn any bridges. 2 years left and players might be affected.
come on folks, what top coach (and we know they will have a big name for these next 2 seasons) is going to want to keep any of the kids currently on the team. That team is going to be wiped clean and start fresh, and yes if players get asked they will make the move. There wont be free rides and that team will be built with strong, hard working, respectable players. Thats not on the current team, sorry
Serious question
Does anyone believe that a newly formed team in bantam will be impactful in minor midget, I honestly thought you would need more than 2 years to build a team to prep for u16s.
Has it happened before?
Why not? Like the previous poster said, top 6 in this loop are fun to watch. I don’t think that just because the Marlies are in a slump that they won’t be competitive next year. A few changes, and they’ll be top 6. The U16, it’s anyone’s guess??
A few changes? So you don’t think they’ll clear bench and start fresh as everyone here is speculating?
TM has a few players that they'll bring back. When I say few, maybe 3 F and 2 D would be my guess?? But that's not my decision.

Interchangeable, for all our Italian friends that means the difference between 1 and 7 changes weekly. Great post by the way!

ok your a TM parent, so here goes. For the 1st time in your son's minor hockey experience, you have non parent coach. Non parent coaches are the best as they have no skin in the game. Get used to it, if you want your kid playing the next level, GOJHL, OJHL, coaches don't give a shit about your son as long as they are winning. Enjoy the last 2 years of minor hockey, because after that, your kid might not even be playing. No disrespect, just the truth.
