It's team based across multiple age groups, but it's the fault of the board.

Why don’t you expand on what ages and what’s happening so people know what’s happening

Looks like they made poor coaching decisions based on some of the teams records

It's definitely poor selection of coaches which is mainly due to nepotism. It's also coaches making political selections rather than picking the best players. Every org has these problems, but in London it seems to be especially bad.

So many just making political decisions
LJK needs to figure out if the parent coaches kids should be playing at the AA or aaa level - some shouldn’t be
stop letting people with hockey side businesses be coaches
No wonder so many kids leave london hockey

But at the same time more people need to step up to try to coach

If you ever wonder why people don't apply.... try this ...take an age group where you don't know anyone ...go to a game at WF and stand by the glass with the dads....and just listen to them ....then you know why people, let alone quality people, don't step up

And just because Fred who played 4 years of Red Circle growing up and now plays mens league once a week applies it does not mean he is the best choice to coach...he may have other skills that can help a team just not as coach.

The side business thing is a huge conflict of interest and should never be allowed. Taking a look at the LJK website the U10 U12 and U14 are the three AAA teams that are struggling. Can't that org find better coaches?

And those coaches have either a side hockey business or does stuff outside of LJK for hockey. Interesting

Just because a coach played the game does not necessarily mean he can coach a team and/or teach young kids however what most of them can do is demonstrate the drills really really well
