I think Barrie wins it all
OR is not strong in net. Going to be a struggle. When BE, Hamilton and STA manage to rip goals on OR, think of the damage Barrie forwards can do.

YSE and Barrie Final. Barrie wins
Anyone but Barrie wins it all and I've predicted this correctly for 6 straight years before today. History ALWAYS repeats itself. Always.
Maybe not always.
I was wrong. Elite Coaching changed the 6+ years narrative in Barrie this time.
Elite coaching, you think that was the difference? Yes, very skilled coach (so was the first coach) BUT that team hand picked the best kids from around the province and created a super team - a Prep Team. Anyone up against them had no chance, cannot be compared to any hometown hockey team. Give any team a $300,000+ budget and they'd win it all too.
300,000 budget?!! Ya ok

Seriously though, I don’t have a dog in the fight, but this is why AAA hockey sucks.

Just go AAU style, and take the City names off of the jerseys
Amen!

This will not be the first Barrie super team to fold the ignorance of the executive to allow what happened to happen the ignorance of the executive to alllow CL to buy players is criminal the boss JR is clueless he needs to go to save face after Barrie Allstar’s lose out with the criminally charged coach in charge. Where is Sportsnet investigating this farce
Let it play out and then we can analyze the crap out of what dod or didn't happen
What happened?
GG going to be the team no one wants to play this weekend. 8-0 thru the round robin play. Peaking at the right time. Solid defensive hockey. Kids are buying into the program.
GG will be lucky to win a game
Well that was accurate
Remind me, how did GG do?

Guest wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:35 pm Looks like things are nearly settled. Barrie and Oshawa through from one side, and unless Niagara somehow avoids losing to YSE, it should be YSE and Oakville from the other (Petes have no hope on tiebreak). Only drama left now:

1) Minor: can YSE beat Niagara
2) More interesting: if YSE can beat Niagara 7-0 or worse, they will pass Oakville for first on tiebreak. Beat them 6-0 it comes down to PIMs. If Niagara scores, add 3 goals needed by YSE to those totals (eg, 7-10 or 10-1 or 12-2)
Sometimes the minor issue becomes the major. Niagara shocks the tourney and KOs YSE.

Barrie-Oakville
Petes-Generals
in the morning
Well well well... hard work pays off
