Not sure that current Reps 2015 coach is anyhow related to Sk8on.
No this fool is talking about wolski who is completely out of the picture. So embarassing he doesn’t even no who the coach is but wants to comment.
The reps will have a terrible team with some of the worst parents around. No intensity on that team at all , bunch of kids who fall when you skate by them to fast
Layer in a 10k budget and you have a complete failure of a team, I can see why VK went a different route , they will equally be bad
Just as bad but +50% more cost.
Reps lost 11-1 against a mediocre Nats team in Carnevale.
It will not be a fun season for this group. Bottom 4 team 100%
How do Reps compare to MM?
VR of last year were much stronger than DDW. The latter lost almost all strong kids since then and took on board boys that are much weaker.
Reps have a coach that played at university level in Canada, USA and Europe, he has a degree in coaching and fitness and been coaching first as an assistant, later as a head coach in minor hockey. Last year his team in NYHL wasn't the strongest, but probably was best in team play. So he is a young career coach. He is looking after his reputation, he has to as it is his main source. The only problem that could be seen from the outside is poor recruitment, kids in his team are of very different level.
MM has a shady person who jumped out of nowhere, never played hockey at any reasonably high level and works in an unrelated to sport field. His assistant is a yelling lady, who annoyed everyone last season. Their team has 3-4 good kids and the rest are AA at best. Many parents complain that he is not transparent with team's finances.
One more thing. Reps coach charges something like 30-35 per spring practice, while MM coach 50-70 and it is run by a stranger, while the coach is not even present on ice.
