EE needs to reset. new coach, team, recruit. it is clear they are pretty good in other age groups.
There is truth to this. I know players who wanted to relocate to EE based on location but steered clear because of the gong show its become.

People blame the coaching, the management, etc. It should never get personal. The fact is, whatever has been done in 2.5 out of 3 years has not worked.

Fact, the team played well enough at U10A to finish 2nd behind an Undefeated MI squad, but got knocked out early in the playoffs. They had a very strong 1st half of the season but based on 2nd Half of Season/Playoff performance, they were a mid pack A team that jumped up to AA for U11. They were nowhere closed to being the best team at U10A.

U11 you can chalk up to learning curve, i guess. Team moved up to AA, regardless of whether it was warranted or not, and struggled. Thats part of the process, you could say. Difficult season should have led to an evaluation of whether the right decision was made to move up with the current roster. If the plan was to stay (which it was) then it should have been open season during skates and tryouts. Instead, couple of band aid solutions were implemented and the team ran it back for U12.

U12, still fresh in mind, was just as ugly. DMM got the memo and went down to A. EE should have done the same, yet here we are, The damage done to the 2012 squad appears irreparable, as no AA player wants to go there, under the current structure. . As stated above, there are parents who would want to bring their kids here instead of travelling further to play, if they had confidence in the people running the team. They do not, and as such EE will trot out another roster fielded with Kids, who are good kids, but clearly playing above the level they should be playing at. DMM will not dominate U13 at A but they will be competitive. That would have also been the case for the current EE roster had they dropped down. We aren't talking about a team who would win 80%+ of the games at A. However, they would have at least been competitive.

The Association needs to set aside any bias they have, and step in after the 2024/2025 season brutally ends, and either drop this team down to A or relieve the Coaching/Management of their duties and replace them. Failure to do so will deter any top level talent from wanting to join this team, and we will all be having this same conversation again this time next year.
Sounds like they need to do what the Knights did a year ago. I know we rip apart that head coach but the organization clearly stepped in and did the right thing in order to take steps to make them competitive again. The exact thing EE should have done. The Knights a year ago were worse than DMM & EE combined. Go look at the 2022/2023 scores and compare them to the 2023/2024 season. EE should do the same and it will benefit all the kids in the loop.
Let's see how NYK does this weekend in canlan tournament. will be up against some solid competition.
What team are they listed as in the Canlan Tournament

A successful team is skilled kids and a good system that a good coach implements.
Kids need to build chemistry and work together on a solid system. You also cant have a discrepancy of skill on a team. It’s important to make a few changes every year to get the kids in and around the same skill level.

I agree, take any kid that can play high A or AA and try them out 1 year while recruiting for the next year. If they were proactive there could have been a mix of kids flocking there for a restart and a surprise quick rebuild. TRT grabbed players who were sick of playing with coaches kids with no upside. The irony is TRT coaches all have kids on the team too. Maybe TRT coaches are better.

I don’t see how they’re going to finish higher than 8th
1. SYB
2. TR
3-5. MI / LF / NYK
6-7. NT / SIR
8. FH
9. EE
Switch FH with NT and SIR with NYK.
Stop NYK cut. NYK picked up SIR top scorer and SIR filled with DMM kids & AA cuts. NYK will demolish SIR
Yup.
Top scorer on a team that doesn't score much means nothing. We all know that player and he plays alone. TRT grabbed the better players from SIR
NYK coaches may have helped build the roster, now they have to coach them.
TRT and SYB have the best coaches which their rosters make them look better.
MI and LF coaches are too emotional and gets their kids doing stupid things on the ice.
FH SIR and NT has no one and their coaches won't be able to get them into top 5.
EE needs to reset. new coach, team, recruit. it is clear they are pretty good in other age groups.

TRT, MI, SYB are top 3 in any order
LF and NYK playing for 4th
the rest should sign up for lots of extra skills and skating because you are just easy wins on the schedule.

Not too hard to figure out. The teams that pulled away from the pack last year will be the difference makers.
The bottom 4. Not much happening there. They will rotate in standings.

FH will be a surprise. Picked up NT top forward and then a few from NYK A and AA
Boy oh boy .. those NYK coaches really don’t know what they are doing if they past on those NYK A & AA players which will skyrocket FH into a top 6 team.
