Thought we were “lucky” to have made a team that ended up with a few openings. Reading these threads and talking to some parents already in the organization, sounds like a nightmare. Is there really a benefit to AAA if we spend money and time and come out jaded and unhappy? We had a great thing going prior to making AAA and my son still developed well. Second guessing our decision.
Second guessing your decision because of something you read on here? Anyone can come on here and say anything about anyone. And believe me, they do. It doesn’t make any of it true. It’s like reviews on a product, most of the time you’re going to get the guy who’s negative, hates everything and is always mad about something. No team is perfect but don’t let this site be what’s tarnished your thoughts on the team, try it out and make the best of it. What matters most is that your kid enjoys it.
EMC... run far far away. If even 1 of the 10 rumors are true, they should be ashamed
Lmao!! We found the disgruntled daddy..

I agree with the comment about not believing what you read here.
Y’all can argue on here until the cows come home. Fact remains people will dish big bucks to play EMC regardless of the rhetoric. Life’s not fair, figure it out in minor sports. The saddest part is parents who are wasting their time complaining on anonymous websites, just move on. Your kid and family will be 10x happier playing St No Names Stars hockey. AAA feeds the ego, not the soul…
St No Names? Your arrogance is shining through. The kid that hot cut after 3 years doesn't deserve that nor does his family. They are great people who don't complain. They deserved a little more respect than being held onto until the very last day of tryouts. They deserved to be told face to face in person. The actions of the coach and how he handled that cut speak volumes about the teams culture. Sure, people want to pay to play for EMC but not the 2012 team. It's poison. Not 1 EMC zone player playing elsewhere even returned to tryout this season. Read the room!!!
1000000% this! But now you'll hear from the die hard coach and 2012 fans that will back this choice up with excuses. Huge loss for that team. A family that was actually kind & supportive, never complained. They definitely deserved more respect than they got. Typical fashion for them to wait til the last day when there was no other AAA option for the player. Wishing the player and family all the best in St. T. They will have a great experience there and with any luck, he'll be back to AAA next season...wherever that may be.

Interesting stat that no one chose to come back to EMC. Most were solicited which must make some wonder why they wouldn't return. Imagine driving an hour when the rink is basically in your backyard? Good on ya families. All the best next season

Ah - no one said it did.
They f1 the majority of their team. Everyone knows hockey teams are formed based on politics, there are a lot of good kids that don’t get picked because daddy doesn’t play the game, or isn’t rich enough…..welcome to Chatham!

105k (which includes a large number of seniors) does not create "good" teams

What matters most is that this kids enjoy it, yes. “Reviews” on here are often where people come to spread the truth they can’t otherwise say otherwise they’ll be ostracized. There is a lot of truth in what’s being said on here. Some are disgruntled, for sure. AAA parent culture is as toxic as it gets.
I feel bad for you, you are in for a big unpleasant surprise

Theres 3 sides to every story... your truth, their truth, and the actual truth. 2 of those 3 are always available here. Don't get it twisted, nothing said here is worth using towards an informed opinion on anything.

The 2012 LJS team will be screwed due to inept coaching. The head coach has had no success at the AAA level. In a good org he'd be lucky to get a single A team. BB and DD two of the worst coaches at the AAA level within the province.
