105k (which includes a large number of seniors) does not create "good" teams
Ah - no one said it did.
They f1 the majority of their team. Everyone knows hockey teams are formed based on politics, there are a lot of good kids that don’t get picked because daddy doesn’t play the game, or isn’t rich enough…..welcome to Chatham!
Chatham avoids all the drama. It’s the best hockey experience without all the crazies
Thought we were “lucky” to have made a team that ended up with a few openings. Reading these threads and talking to some parents already in the organization, sounds like a nightmare. Is there really a benefit to AAA if we spend money and time and come out jaded and unhappy? We had a great thing going prior to making AAA and my son still developed well. Second guessing our decision.
Second guessing your decision because of something you read on here? Anyone can come on here and say anything about anyone. And believe me, they do. It doesn’t make any of it true. It’s like reviews on a product, most of the time you’re going to get the guy who’s negative, hates everything and is always mad about something. No team is perfect but don’t let this site be what’s tarnished your thoughts on the team, try it out and make the best of it. What matters most is that your kid enjoys it.
What matters most is that this kids enjoy it, yes. “Reviews” on here are often where people come to spread the truth they can’t otherwise say otherwise they’ll be ostracized. There is a lot of truth in what’s being said on here. Some are disgruntled, for sure. AAA parent culture is as toxic as it gets.
I feel bad for you, you are in for a big unpleasant surprise

EMC... run far far away. If even 1 of the 10 rumors are true, they should be ashamed

Theres 3 sides to every story... your truth, their truth, and the actual truth. 2 of those 3 are always available here. Don't get it twisted, nothing said here is worth using towards an informed opinion on anything.

The 2012 LJS team will be screwed due to inept coaching. The head coach has had no success at the AAA level. In a good org he'd be lucky to get a single A team. BB and DD two of the worst coaches at the AAA level within the province.

My opinion... sounds like your son made a team that might be a little weaker than most... good for him and ride it out for a year and then re group at the end of the year... you don't know unless you try... usually the stronger teams is where all the gong shows are because all the top player parents are competing with one another. Just my thought.
