What's the problem with playing in spring hockey / tournaments? I believe more than half of the teams play at least 1 during the spring. WM, NT, Markham and Ted Reeve all took part this weekend.

Nothing. Personally I wouldn't, I think players need a break. I think spring/summer is for individual training. Side note, ever notice the top teams usually don't have spring/summer teams?

As you drop your kid off and pay the $40 bucks to skate, take a good look at what's out there and hold your breath. Hopefully someone magical showed up and may make a difference. As you wipe the glass because of the fog from your breath, take another look and count how many select players showed up. Look around the arena and accept the parent group. Its a long season, be comfortable folks.

Good luck at tryouts and lets hope no one get shafted.
