Poorly worded. not sure why division 2; it’s all AAA kids on it.

You’re not sure why the Durham Mustangs team is filled with Durham region kids?

Because nobody gets any better in spring hockey tournaments … they get better in doing training and clinics. But spring hockey is fun and Canlan runs a lot of tournaments that isn’t about who has the most money to play like the GTHL.

If there looking to get better why would they play in any Canlan tournaments!

KSL go after 2013 birth year? Not even sure what the reason would be for anyone to do that. The appetite for KSL is because of half ice hockey at u9 and below; not sure what appetite anyone would have for KSL above u9.

YSE is purely based on their goaltending as they have two.
YSE looked weak this weekend in a Canlan tournament.
Weak? That’s being polite. Team was an utter disaster. Their irish kid #7 who can’t skate got tossed for almost taking someone’s head off with a two hand cross check to the back of the neck. Cheap shot. YSE came from behind to tie the top Toronto AA team this weekend. Puts it in perspective doesn’t it!
Terrible terrible team.
That is true YSE tied the Miss. Beast which is AA team

1. QRD
2. KNG
3. WW
4. YSE
5. PP
6. NCP
7. BC
8. NSW
9. APR
10. COW
11. MW

What were the new additions / subtractions for each team this year?
It does matter. The OMHA is a dying league. There is only one AAA team in this age group.
And If the KSL go after the 2013 birth year like I’m hearing it’ll make things spicy that’s for sure.

Agreed. Fewer families are making the move to the G as there is far less value in doing this now. If the OMHA teams are able to retain good non-parent coaches, they can remain equally competitive. That said, the top 3 G teams are always stacked at any age group and are in a league of their own.

As for team changes, most changes were QRD and APR

Talent in GTHL and OMHA is similar they are just loaded up on the top teams in the GTHL. If OMHA had open borders I am sure they could compete with top G teams (in theory as I know logistically with distance to travel you couldn’t create a true open borders like they do in the G)
