List is accurate…. Elite ranks are scouts… if you were at draftday you would’ve seen them….
If you can’t name their team of scouts then they are fake.
Who in the right mind would publicize the names of scouts unless it is a team?? Puck preps, NZ have multiple that are in Ontario and won’t list them because some of them coach and don’t want conflict of interest. That’s why OHL scouts can’t report on players they coach. For example APR u16 coach is a scout for Erie. My nephew is on the team and coach told them all, don’t expect me to report on you because I can’t… everyone thinks they know everything in hockey. Congrats to the 20 kids named, I think the list is great and will make the ones not listed work that much harder!
You conflicted yourself a few times. Scouts are publicized just like why you know your nephew’s coach is a scout. They all have business cards and at times introduce themselves.

….an OHL scout is much different than a scout for a ranking service. Where are puck prospects getting there info? They are the same company as elite ranks

Just a list. Don’t get so offended lots of great players not on it there’s only 20 players. You would need a top 40 to be more accurate. And from 1 to 40 you could interchange the positions players sit at. It’s just saying these are capable players nothing more. I think we can all agree on that. Let’s move on.
That list is from January 2024. So much has changed from then. Purpose is all positive. It's to push the kids not on it to work harder to get on it. It's a reality check for some. Its the second IG post on the 2010's top players. The first one was top north American kids.

Yes scouts were at the tournies but Elite Prospects are NOT scouts. The more notable ones have been around for years. “ELITE PROSPECTS” is a made up Instagram account.

Hockeys a small world it’s all intertwined. Scouts agents orgs all communicate. Names go around a lot. When you here the same names over and over there has to be something there. My kids not on the list but I recognize and have seen a bunch of these kids play.

List is meaningless. 2 seasons before the draft. Some kids will flourish and some kids will crash. It’s a list based on some guy watching one meaningless spring tournament. We all know spring hockey is nothing but glorified shinny. You guys get so caught up all this BS. Relax your kid will end up exactly where he needs to be.

Some scouting agencies will have publications that you pay to get the reports. Then there team scouts, that write reports are only used for internal purposes.
Posting a list with no grade for potential use for coaches has no merit. As the previous poster said Don’t sweat it and definitely don’t put anything into this. The list is just a list for IG. We all know who’s missing from it and the critique on ones that are on it. It was posted to give everyone a rise!
