The AAA division of this tournament was a step up from house league. I have been part of worse hockey in my life. Thank god this is over.
Which team did your son play in? TBH you sound like a restless Ch-co's parent-wingman from TP-S. Sit back, relax, you know that your kid deserves to play at least in Brick tournament despite his young age. If you keep on serving Ch well by substituting him on games and tournaments that he doesn't attend because of hangover, he will promise your kid a spot in NHL, that he can arrange through his multiple ex-students.
He's so disappointed because farmer's kids not from almighty G the-only-strong-league-in-the-world won the tournament. They spanked both TB full of NYHL champions of last season and TE that felt like it is full of rubbish(but who cares that they couldn't find any better).
The farmers shouldn’t boast too loudly, let’s be honest their AAA team barely pulled out the 1st place spot in a tier 2 division.
80% AAA 20% AA, you can't call it house league. Tier 2 division was filled with kids who will start playing AAA or top AA teams next season. Even TPHS had 1-2 AAA players from Nats, maybe they will be backup, but still. TB was very strong on paper, full of NYR amended by 2-3 weak but AAA Halton Hurricanes Ds. TE had kids from VK, Reps, TRW and few others. Montreal team also had AAA kids in the roster, but unlike Toronto, their parents are not snobbish without any grounds. That's just the level of kids in the G.
Moreover, in 2014 Bronko, which is roughly top 3 team was also destroyed. Are Bronko also a house league?
My kid has played with Bronkos a fair amount now. The coaching there is outstanding. He comes away a better player every time. It’s not all about winning. Spring doesn’t matter - it should be fun with a purpose and I know that’s their philosophy as well.
Battle is EMF top talent and surrounding areas so no shame in that loss.
In two years none of us will ever care about spring again and we will have all felt silly spending so much time on it.
Well said. We get wrapped up in the drama of it all. As long as the kids are having fun who cares.
