More likely - coaches that want to push their own agenda.
Who left? Who came in?
More of the same. Exactly for the most part. EMC is still a joke.
The truth is, the real joke here is the amount of people complaining and whining about volunteers. That's the real laugh here.
From what I see there was only a handful of people at their AGM. I've also heard several board members tried to get off but there is nobody stepping up.
Why would you? These poor folks get all the mud thrown at them by these anti trudeau, truck driving cry babies.
People complaining on here have a victim mentality. You've been wronged by your job, the government, and now minor sports boards.
My kid doesn't make a team never equals that player just missed out or needs to work on a few things.
It's always someone else to blame. It's easier to go to bed at night believing my child didn't make a team because of a coach, minor sports boards, corruption etc.
I'm sure this board is not perfect, none are. I do have a player with EMC and I thought the EMC board did a great job for their teams and players.
People want transparency and less nepotism, but go about it by slinging mud on a toxic website. They could volunteer and help improve the situation. I believe majority rules on a board, get involved and it will improve
People want transparency and accountability - neither of which are present at EMC. I’ve been to AGMs, willing and able to volunteer. Unfortunately, it appeared that they already had people in place for positions which is why there is very little change again this year. Can’t upset the status quo for fear that your child will be affected.
THIS
But in all seriousness what about THIS “if change is the goal and having an impact is your reason for joining then any voting position on the board should do . you can’t just walk into the job you want off the street. According to the website EMC board runs lean, there have to be available positions for willing people”
Was it a “no” you can’t be on the board or a “no you can’t have that position on the board, because my best friend from the farm already expressed interest”
You can’t just demand a specific position (unless you’re a friend of the board).
