He was also offered a couple different spots in the GTHL for this year (or atleast words were spoken to us to lead us to it … but we learned of this site and now I am on it watching and reading the crazy parents of the GTHL … read their group it’s comical and I don’t want anything to do with it for my kids sake) … we are happy where he is as long as he is happy where he is.

Anything else I can share? I don’t hide from anything if ya wanna know?
My son plays for Peterborough I was just curious if cow was having issues and that’s why you left.
They have some over the top parent that ran their good coach out (coach who cut my kid twice who I can still agree was a good coach) after first two years … and now have some younger coaches taking over that I hope for their sakes can manage it. But every team has it … it’s just what level you can handle. Coaching sucks when it comes to parents.

We tried to get CW to play elsewhere that would be easier on us for driving … he wanted to go nowhere but back to NCP. So it may not be same for every kid but ours loved it.
How come he doesn’t play for cow? You said you took your release this year but what happened last year? By the way you’re talking he has options to play for multiple AAA teams. Did you have a bad experience in cow? Is that why you left?

Just got my head on straight. No matter where you go you will never be happy with your mindset. Just enjoy the ride … everyone thinks they know more than the next person. If you were the coach I can guarantee people wouldn’t like you either … nature of the position.
My son plays on a different omha team. I’ve been reading along. Sounds like you are drinking his kool aid. Your head definitely isn’t on straight. Any coach that makes 10-11 year old kids cry is a far stretch from a good coach. This is where Omha fails. Anyone that speaks up gets black listed which is probably why so many players have left that team. A good coach will attract players not push them many away. To be a parent and allow a coach to treat these little minds that way is not acceptable. As a parent you should be ashamed to keep your kid in that situation. Sports are suppose to be fun and enjoyable. Teaching these kids good values. Sounds like it’s the opposite at ncp. I’ve heard this from a lot of different sources. I can tell you from personal experience there are a lot of good coaches out there.

You don’t know how bad it is until you have it.

I am CW and my son is CW the goalie who joined last year after one of the 7 quit. I don’t do anonymous.

I find the coaching staff to be quite refreshing … for one reason being that they don’t give in to overbearing parents causing so many to quit when they disagreed with what coaches are doing.

Do I agree with every decision they make? Nope … but I am a goalie dad and not the coach so my opinion only matters to me. More parents need to understand that.

As for slagging on kids like the Barrie kids … lots of cuts happen for different reasons. My kid was cut last year from COW and again this year was granted release … and yet they can’t beat him … we are so thankful to have him back in NCP with this coaching staff, players and player families. Time will tell for all kid where there hockey journey will take them and let’s just enjoy the ride.

Of course you’re drinking the cool aid. 2 of the kids that left are goalies making room for cw. We have had two years of watching the same practices over and over with lack of development for our boys. Then get blamed by the coaches for losing games to the point a lot of the boys come out crying. Tired of hearing the coach telling the kids to be more like his son who is the weakest player on the team. Would struggle to make an A team in any other association. If these coaches are as good as they always tell us. (The best coaches in the league). Then release anyone that doesn’t want to play for you and see who’s actually left over.

AAA committee already tried and OMHA executive turned it down. Cow isn’t going anywhere unless they can turn the votes around or executive changes and they try again to get it approved to turn COW into a AA centre.
