NYK and TRT pretty weak. EE should be comfortably just behind top 3. NT really good, top 3 team that replaced AAA departures with some strong kids from their tier 2 team. WH middle of the pack. Nobody else looks great.

West:
VP should have best team, Eagles second. Thought you all said MNS would suck but they look good. MT, MJ, TW will be fight to finish last. VR a surprise, no finish on that team.
What do you think of MB, DD and ST?

In East NYK were unimpressive, lost to last season's weakest team from Mississauga. EE should be ok, don't know about the rest.

In West supposedly weakest team MNS did very well in the tournament last weekend. VR for unknown reason didn't perform well. VP will be super strong, I'm sure they will easily beat MM, TT and Sens from AAA. Beast hopefully will be strong as well.

If any AA coaches or parents read this, including from outsider teams, try to organize a scrimmage with Red Wings. The outcome of that game will likely positively surprise you and give your kids a boost before the season starts. Though for same reason TRW may decline your offer.
Mid level teams could try to play with Sens, while top teams won't leave the rink disappointed if they play with MM and TT.

Guest wrote: Sun Jun 02, 2024 12:48 am Does anyone know what's to become of the 2015 NT CDS teams in U10? Where are most players from NT Red, Green, White, and Black headed?
Probably the majority of them stayed this year and formed NT aa
But NT had four teams, with 68 players total. They couldn’t all form a single AA team. I’ve heard that NT Green formed York Mills A. What about the other three CDS teams?
NT Red (minus a few and plus a few from NT Green) is NT AA. NT Black and some NT White is NT A.

So how did the summer tournaments go for east and west teams? Predictions?

Not worth the drive / drama / crest of AAA if at the bottom or low mid, better to play with friends and rip up AA with “like minded” people
If your kid is AAA caliber you are doing him a diservice to have him "rip up" a lower division. Only asshats would do that just for some wins and stats
You didn’t know ? Dad has his kid on his fantasy team

Guest wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 2:10 pm Is it true that Rattlers are done? If so, Mississauga will have 2 AAA and 5 AAA teams next year? This season MHL had 6 teams. Applewood is a pure house league level, maybe 1-2 kids could realistically pretend to play in A, LP- only slightly better, Erindale and West Mall were mediocre at best, with few bright kids, HD- were more or less, PC's coach was the only asset of that team. Where are they going to find kids to fill 7 teams, who are capable of playing competitive hockey?
Why the hate?
no hate, thats the truth.
almost 50+ losses in 2 seasons against mediocre teams.
was hard to watch.
barely scored a goal a game and gave up close to 10 per game.
It's weird that Applewood parents are ambitious enough to try to squeeze their kids in AA, but are super lazy to do anything to improve their kids skating. What's the fun of playing in AA or even in MHL when your kids individually and as a team are much worse than the rest of the league and all because you didn't want to invest a penny into their development? Losing to everybody is a bad lesson for kids. Any Applewood parents here? What's your motivation to go to AA?
Ya those rubes will never make the nhl unlike your superstar kid who because you "invested" in skating clinics or a hockey camp will definetly earn the big bucks in the future. Guaranteed return on your "investment" with your little future gretzky .
