Does it matter at 9 really? Let’s ask this question as the kid approach 13/14.

Every kid that gets mentioned regularly including ZL are very talented, and elite level players.

It’ll be fun to watch the kids develop. Let’s enjoy the ride and the moments. Brick, Quebec PeeWee, WSI, OHL cups, all still to come.

There will be very few who will play in all. Remember that.
GTHL teams can’t play in Quebec Pee Wee and WSI is a nice trip but a total cash grab and poor competition. The Brick and OHL cup are legit.
Brick used to be legit...now it's out of reach for many, financially. You're going to see more years like last year where scoring records happen because the best of the best won't all be there.
Agreed,

Pretty much have to drop 10K minimum. Not to mention the 5-10K the 2015’s are spending right now on pre-Brick Spring/Summer. Started off great, now just another sales pitch for rich Torontonians.
Anyone spending money on pre brick stuff is a moron. If you’re good enough you’ll get the phone call before tryouts. The camps and showcases are a total cash grab. I’ve been there with both my boys, save your money and go to the tryout only.
Just got the call from Edmonton, brick tradition among teams is that they call their first pick for the following year the day before the tournament starts.

Good luck to all the kids there this year and to those who will join us next year.
They called you at 4am (Edmonton time)?

The brick wasn’t really an esteemed tournament until about 15 years ago when it became THE big thing. For its first 20 years it never attracted all the best kids and it was nowhere near as competitive. So the scoring record thing not entirely true.

The kid who scored 2 is from their team, as far as I know
This guy is trolling. Both scorers are VK players.
Totally false you can look that up online. All three goals scored by MM players for next year.

They were all MM kids who scored , don't be a scared that MM is going to be a top team!
Bahahaha top team? Just shows everyone that the reps are weaker than expected. MM have some of the most toxic parents around. It’s only of time before things go from bad to worse.
I wouldn't call their parents toxic. Except shouting female, coach's relative, one of their gk parents and new kids's father who is sticky like a chewing gum all the rest are ok. Nats are much worse in that relation.
MM's main problem is the coach who seems to be more interested in cash rather than team development and too few bright kids, At best they have 5 strong players with good potential, more realistically- 3, who won't be in the team in a year.

As for Reps, their main problem is that the coach can't say no to parents he is comfortable with. He chose good team atmosphere with known kids and parents instead of high performance. Maybe his tactics will work in the long run.
11 of our OMHA kids played the Reps and beat them up pretty good at the start of the Spring. Probably one of the first times they had played together. Kids worked hard until the end and the parents were very friendly. I know my kid is ahead because he had way more ice time than others. When they get going, a cohesive team with good characters in the room and in the stands will eventually beat a team full of all stars that only care about getting points for the name on the back of the jersey… Good luck Reps!

From what I heard 2 of the 3 were told they need more edge work and the 3rd was playing Minecraft and skipped the event
