He is pretty good with the kids. However, there are table stakes to making it far, he unfortunately did not have the size, power and speed to ever be elite, doesn’t mean he can’t train others that don’t have the table stakes either :) $$$ rule , just tell them they need to work harder and be on the ice more , bleed the stone !

Which is even worse!
Cause he can.

Ok money bags 😂
When you go to wonderland, do you just wait in line and ride ? Or do you buy a fast pass?
If you can why not, don’t hate those who can.
Either you’re in or out, it’s very simple.
Is it because you can or you have to? I think it is pretty clear that a parent that does this has to because the do not believe their kid is very good. What a horrible be thing to show your kid , no confidence in them or their ability.

Then you end up with that kid that goes around telling everyone how good he is , trying to convince himself he is good, so sad to see that lack of confidence and pretty much irreversible. Game over!
The issue is that at the end of the day the kids are not that different. They all have good days and bad days and so you cant really guarantee a spot on top lines. unless you pay for the spot. Money opens doors. Your kid and that kid may start out the same at season start but one will get more opportunities on top lines and special teams. more ice time = more experience = more development. It isnt an ego thing, that is shortsighted. It is about providing the best possible opportunities for your kid - so if you have the means you would do it too.

Best example is Hyman. Breakout year, sure - but money paved the way to get to the point where he can have that opportunity to succeed. Imagine how many other similar players got lost in peewee or bantam cause they didnt have the same opportunities. Such is life. Stack the deck to win however you can.
This may be the dumbest comment of all time. Some ca barely score a goal! ALL the kids know who is good and who is not, and when some who is not good is getting all the ice, ALL THE KIDS TURN THERE BACK ON THAT KID and they become ostracized from the real group!

Lots of people can and opt not to b/c they understand what it means and the consequences.

Your fast pass has now put your kid at the end of the line , no one will touch them ( next 3 years) and the other kids do not respect them. Great use of capital, the only fast pass is how to quickly ruin your kids minor hockey years !
Fast pass to the Wednesday night ashl!!!
Tryouts for ashl happen every Tuesday at Scotia pond.

Hyman is a terrible example because he can actually play!
