He ain't good, but he's moving up to AAA. Got offers from two teams, we stopped skating with current team, been doing extra skates and birthday skates. Got two offers to move up. So yea. This shit does happen. Coach is playing kids who he knows will stick around next season, you all know this shit goes on all the time.

Stop making excuses, I hear these all the time, coach plays favourites, team mates are jealous, blah blah blah, stop crying and trying to come up with reasons why your kid isn’t playing. You think he’s a big superstar, but your kid is just average or maybe a little bit below average.

You committed to a team. Stick the year out.
You are teaching your kids it’s ok to quit when things aren’t working .
Yea deal with the toxic assholes and have long term problems so you can teach your kid a lesson!

Probably wont even get a release from these psychos anyway, take them to court
Love it when whiners cry on here. Your kid is an average player, get over it, he’s not the next superstar. Cut your losses now, you are thousands in the hole, how much more are you going to spend?

I know what you will say the price of the arena, guess what supply and demand that goes down to cause if not they go out of business too

This does not need to be a multimillion dollar business in a billion dollar industry.

PS. Why do we pay alcoholics to coach our kids, where are the volunteers, anyone notice in AAA arenas the “pro” coaches always come from the ECHL? Or backwater leagues lololol but your not a pro, your a drunk that has no life skill so you coach hockey, but pros are in the NHL, you played ECHL hockey and made the equivalent of someone that works at The Bay or Metro

Honestly stop paying for these bad situations, and heaven for bid, get back to the volunteers
Guess what bud. Those parent coaches that overplay their duster kid? They're still committing hundreds of hours a year to get accredited, running practices and games, balancing work and family life to be on the ice for 15-20 kids multiple times a week for 8 months. They're out there scouting, calling and recruiting other families and kids, having tough development conversations, etc. etc. And they're dealing with crazy parents who think their kid is going to the show, and don't give a Not Allowed about decommitting or running off to some new situation some guy with a skeleton hockeydb page promised them. There's no lineup of volunteers willing to coach competitive hockey with grace, integrity, and heart. There's probably ten of them in the GTHL across all levels and age groups. So if you find one, good luck and hang on, but mostly parent coaches are just doing their best, can't see through their own bias to their own kid, and struggle to recruit or keep good kids from being poached by....

...the paid coach lunatics with really brief hockeydb pages who are in it for the $$, to cross-sell private clinics through their hockey school, and to win at all costs, where every kid is absolutely disposable for someone who is 5% better, or anyone with a Dad willing to hook him up with an extra envelope of cash or a car lease or some rounds of golf at the private club or whatever. These guys are just making bank and trying to win and don't give a Not Allowed about dressing room culture or room vibe or stopping bullying or any of the other shit impressionable, immature kids are getting exposed to.

Those are your choices.

Guest wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 12:40 pm Getting your release is easier than you think. Finding a team at this point of the season is a lot harder. Don't get a release unless you're promised a spot on another team first. Otherwise your kid will not be playing.
I don't understand why ppl think they should get their $$ back if the player wants a release? Now, If the team wants to give you the release, then by all means you should get everything you paid refunded.

Because people are brokies and plus we need to save our money for Taylor Swift tickets
