Aeros and FH look like teams that might be folding. Can’t get boys out to the skates. Any other teams on the bubble? NT, MT maybe?

New coaches on a few East teams and looks like status quo in the west.
A couple average type players on MB looking to make AAA, don’t think it effects that team much as they were cuts anyway.
They will recruit AAAs in January and bench others for a cup like what they did in the past. Shame on MF! MB has become the most disgusting team and club.
Agreed. Watched it happen this year. Some got 1 min shifts. And MF put the word out to AAA teams, about who’s who and that includes an age up and age down. He’s a prick!

Guest wrote: Wed Apr 16, 2025 10:55 am Ah, the classic debate about ice time on a championship team! There are 4 types of players on the Beast and they all know their role:

Superstars: Look, if you’ve got a player who can dangle through defenders like they’re traffic cones and score from the blue line while blindfolded—they’re gonna play more. Why? Because they’re essentially the human equivalent of a highlight reel, and the crowd isn’t showing up to watch someone skate in circles while eating a granola bar.

Specialists: Some players are like that one friend who’s always the first to volunteer for any job, whether it’s getting the snacks or taking a penalty shot in the shootout. These are your penalty killers, your power-play wizards. If ice time were equal, you'd be wasting valuable seconds not using the one guy who can take a slapshot from outer space and score from the stands.

Role Players: Yes, they might not be scoring hat tricks every game, but they bring the grit, the grind, and the occasional clean hit that makes the other team remember they’re playing a game, not a yoga class. If everyone’s getting the same ice time, they’d be too busy staring at the clock to remember their job is to annoy the other team into mistakes.

Benchwarmers: They’re there for moral support. They bring the energy, and they bring snacks for the locker room. Equal ice time for them? Sure, until you realize the last time they touched the puck was during warm-ups, and even then, it was mostly just to touch it to avoid being the last one on the ice.

In conclusion, ice time on the Beast is like a buffet—some players are the main course, and others are the sides that complement everything. Giving everyone the same portion? Well, let’s just say you wouldn’t put brussel sprouts and steak on the same plate. It’s all about balance, baby!
REMINDER TO ALL

Tryouts for U18 AAA have now commenced.

Be sure to get out there and give it your best efforts.

There are very limited spots available.

Teams will be running 4 separate skates due to high demand, 36 kids per skate.

Skates will be divided based on conviction of the player type. For example, skate A is franchise potential, skate B is elite potential, skate C is top 6F / top 4D, skate D is top 9F / bottom 6d potential, etc.

Just because you may be listed as a bottom 9 forward in year one, doesn’t mean you can’t develop into a top 6 forward next year.

Be sure to bring your full game, whatever that may be, teams are looking for two way forwards, grinders, power forwards, snipers, playmakers. Full coaching staff and general managers will be present to ensure talent is spotted.

GLTA!

Why did the MB only feature certain players in their celebration posts on IG when winning the championship?
They posted a team pic but the pics with certain players were the ones that contributed the most, bench warmers didn’t get highlighted on IG, it’s fair.
