#2 = sandbag division for AA clubs
Sounds like a bitter Panthers parent!
So how did the tourney go? Any surprises.. does MB need to worry?
I would say from this tourney HV and VP are going to be the biggest competition for MB.
MR not in the same league…Toros will take a step further back next year as well.
I dont think any insight can be gathered from this weekends tournament. Nothing was proven or disproven by any of the teams. Not full rosters. Random kids. Some bad games. Just spring fun really.
Totally agree. Spring is for fun. Playing with your buds that you normally don’t play with because you are on different teams in the winter. These guys that bring 80-90% of their winter teams do have an advantage but they are looking to start some chemistry for the regular season 5 months away… So all good. Spring is a mixed bag so you don’t know what you are getting when you join. Just embrace and enjoy the ride. If VP,MR or HV won the Canlan tournament I am sure we will be hearing it on this site as they are the teams to beat but they didn’t so we will go along and continue to have fun in the spring.
VP challenged themselves by playing with AAA teams, regardless of outcome.
MR, HV and Toros mainly played A level teams in RR to get to Semis and then were challenged in a one game and done scenario. Don’t blame Canlan on playing in an easier division to “have fun” and “gain chemistry”.
So don’t worry MB, the gap is big enough that it won’t be closed until OHF games next spring.
