Yes they did, maybe two select but they also picked up Aeros top scorer and a TRT AA player. Not sure where this "not upgrades" is referring to.

They lost the better dman who went up to AA and took one that came down. That's an upgrade? And top scorer on the last place team?

Top scorer of the league too or top 3 not just the Aeros.
He'll be one of the top scorers again. The op was referring to Select players. No idea of this better Dman but the one I know is going to the AA organization that will be lucky to win a game next season and the player coming to A was part of two back to back first place AA teams who chose to stay in the organization.
Leaside/last year's squad and the other TRT team picked up AA players too. Upgrades.

ARD keeping their entire core, but replacing two weaker players with AA players. LF apparently lost their best player…. But gaining 3 AA players is news to me.

ARD will have a short bench again, and apparently still looking for a goalie?

Thanks for clarifying. There's lots of trashing of A on the 2012 AA thread. I'm glad to see that there doesn't really seem to be any trash talk towards Select on this thread. And you're correct that there are many past examples of Select players who moved up and thrived in A. My son plays on a strong 2012 A East team and the team's best defenceman came up from Select in U11.

The NT Select team from last season likely would have been mid-pack in the A East division, that was a VERY well coached team with a ton of skill. I believe 90% of that team is now in A. 8 of them alone moved to Duffield including their goalie. Islanders picked up 2-3 of their strongest forwards.
