Hilarious watching JV on that podcast talking about how Oakville promots hometown hockey and only allow 5 imports max per team. How many imports on 09 AAA? On the 08AAA? It was JV that pushed for unlimited imports a few years ago, and it was only the OMHA that closed that loop hole JV and OR opened up.

Yeah, true… hope it’s someone with character and understands minor hockey today and can objectively look at what’s failing ORHC
The fact that he is appointing these positions, rather than having open elections like the club use to have should be troubling. But it’s what happens when he changes all the club bylaws to basically prevent 99% of the membership from even being considered for a position.

Totally agree. But it can. Be better for the overall health of the team (as long as they don’t own a hockey development program. Ha. )
A huge conflict of interest with HCs owning hockey schools and have kids in the program like RH
All the AAA non parents have hockey schools, even some of the AA non parents. It’s pay for play, commit to their off season “program” or you don’t make the team.

I think at AAA it’s all about results… and when you pay coaches you want results… except when you want development… rare is the coach that gives you a lot of winning and development (at least below AAA), so buyer beware…

I believe so… at least from AA and AAA… not sure about the lower levels
They are in the GTA. It’s part of the appeal for a lot of us
