That’s just the way it works. The best kids make the team regardless of whether they tried out or not. Welcome to the real world.

For those who know who the kid is, he really needed to try out. Was expected to be a borderline pick even if he went to try outs. Fringe player. The fact he didn’t show and somehow got a spot just stinks of daddy lining the coaches pockets again $$$
