JRC & VK are ahead of the other teams.

both teams are making changes to their rosters. Will the changes be helpful or hurt the them - time will tell.

Some of the players leaving the top 2 will be getting more ice time with their new teams and may get noticed for their abilities - hopefully in a positive way.

Should be an interesting season. Most teams are making more moves than expected. Those who get their teamwork sorted out the quickest will benefit. Hitting this year will bring changes to the individual play and change the way to defend those end to end rushes.

My thoughts are that the top 3 are going to be better, although the gap is closing. Places 3 through 7 will be much closer and there will be surprisingly improved teams.

Have a safe and fun summer

By my count 8 players and 1 goalie changing - tough to explain why - they were the best team all year - top line minutes not as advertised for some of the fringe players. How many are going to the team as spectators (third lines)....
Why? Can you say the dictatorship of white T-shirt Napoleon and his mini me Coach DE. No one wants to play in that dictatorship where they only care to develop AA’s kid and the selected few buddies the kid likes. The Asian overagers wear on you and playing behind men dressed up as teens can never be fun. They have their challenges. As do all teams. Through all this they will still finish top 3 next year.
Nothing wrong with finishing 3rd!
There are 9 others who’d wish they could place 3rd.

1 VK
2 TM
3 JRC
4 TYN
5 DMF
6 REBELS
7 REPS
8 SENS
... THUNDER BAY if still in league
9 NYR
10 TT
11 TRW
12 MM
Why so many changes at nyr?
Who’s in/out

Boys you still talking rubbish. It’s time for a Dooby, slick it back, nice goatee and some relaxation.

Guest wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2024 6:16 pm Based on comments seems like only top 3 teams in GTHL are competitive. How does this benefit kids playing hockey when there is not enough talent spread out. OMHA probably has better competition. Plus GTHL parents just seem too obsessed.
Based on results OMHAs best teams are behind the GTHL top three. Ideally there should be a 12 team all Ontario league, like Champions League in Europe, to which the best teams from all associations qualify in the fall and then play real top devision in the Spring. So from the two rounds in GTHL JRC, VK, Marlies and (e.g. Nats) would go there, from OMHA there would be Quinty and Oakville and COW, from Alliance Elgin and (e.g. London/Halton) and then Eastern Ontario, Myers and Sudbury. That 12 teams could play home and away round robin and then playoffs.
That would be build up top level competition while letting half of the season to be played in the associations.

But I am sure Ontario Hockey would never allow that. Too radical for the sleepy hollow..
And if the team does not want to travel - you dont join and let the other team in the rankings make a trip.

Listen up boys. If you can smoke a doobie, bench 300, keep a sharp goatee and walk around like it ain’t nothing then you know the deal.

Guest wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2024 1:42 pm JRC is still the best team. VK won the finals. Overall, JRC crushed everyone and added some promising players ready to take the next step. Putting them 3rd is nuts. It will be the same finishing order as this year. Exactly the same.
Yes, True. #29 on JRC next year will really crush the competition and will have a 100 goals season!!! He is certainly better then the loser who went back to Barrie. Speed, IQ, shot! He even has more MONEY!!!!
You are right. JRC finally got a generational talent to actually be a #1 team in the end of the season. They will get what they deserve in the 4th year of AAA!
