My son was the goalie getting shelled for 10 goals against … he wants to play AAA hockey but has one year under his belt with goalie pads on. He isn’t strong enough or quick enough yet and getting to play these games only shows him where he has to work to get better.

He lost but absolutely loved playing in it despite giving up 10 … he wants to get good enough to steal those games for wins and he knows he can’t yet but it’s better than when his team wins 10-0 and he sees 0 shots.

Kids are 8/9 years old they all react differently but it’s about getting better; the Sens helped the other kids on the other teams realize where they gotta work to get better to reach their goals if they have any to play AAA. Might not have done much for them other than getting a medal and banner that says champs.

Posts on here bashing teams are always from parents who get cut by the team they bash. Probably new hockey parents going through menopause living through their children.

So the Sens are a weak AAA team. Division 2 is likely right for them. At the two previous Canlan tournaments, there was a Vision team that got killed every game in division 1. They probably should have been division 2. But then at that last tournament, there was Oakville, DMF, and MM all in that top division, all strong teams. So it's tough.

Next time the Chargers do a tournament, they may want to go top division. But they might also end up in a tournament full of strong AAA teams, and it wouldn't be much fun for them.
