Are you new to this jr. B lol
No, pretty familiar.
OJHL, CCHL, NOJHL……Tier II
GOJHL….. Jr B

Last time I checked, 42 16 yr olds played 10 games or more in Jr B. 46 is the max allowed. So that tells me a lot of OHL teams are sending their 16 yr old picks there and not to Ajax.

Am I missing something?
This is simply not true. Lots of OHL teams don’t care if you play JR A or U18 what’s important is that you play and develop. No point going to JR and sitting on the bench which is what most 16 year olds do.
You are correct when you say that playing and developing is important. That has to be priority number one. But I’m sorry man, you are so wrong if you think that OHL teams don’t send their 16 yr. Old players to pay in the GOJHL. Its a
Younger league than the OJHL.
I can truthfully say that 10 of the 12 players on our u16 team that are playing Jr this year, as a 16 yr old, were sent there by their OHL team and all started low on the totem pole and worked their way up to top 6/top 4 mins. The 11th is full time OHL and 12th earned his Jr spot on his own.

So ya, they do care man. And they do send players to affiliate teams. Thats why they have control of the 16yr old spots on almost all Tier II and Jr B teams. And please read what I said…..Almost all teams. Not all teams.
The post said lots of teams don’t care which is true. The important thing is to play and develop and not sit on a bench. Some teams like Sarnia like players close by playing JR B. Some teams like Barrie and Peterborough like there kids on U18. Depends on the kid, the team and the situation.
Agree, every team will tell you where is best. Most have had interviews and told them where they are planning to go and ask if that is ok . A lot of the interviews we had approved u18 but only certain programs (Petes, Ajax , Barrie) it all depends on the kid and situation. Ultimately you choose and hope they approve of it . No harm in JR A if that’s where they will develop, or a great u18 program.
Of course Pete’s and Barrie suggested their U 18 programs. But anyone knows Pete’s are awful, .500 program

Lmao, maybe a few are, but the players that matter are being told to make a Tier II or Jr B team. Those being shipped to APR are fringe and below. Winners are clearly beating sent to other teams…..aka the champions…..lmao.

APR is who the junior teams are telling their players to go to . So clearly will be strong team again .
NS will be middle pack with COW .Bowmanville is getting new team next year and apparently are waiting on an answer for head coach .

False all false information, 16 year olds get very little ice play U18 and get all the ice time .

Funny all those names Eric mentions were at the skate for Ajax and including mine who was mentioned and that is false info no we are not leaving for NS .
Not Eric commenting here but it’s still early everyone. Who is skating where means Jack till commitment letter is signed.

APR is up against it in that manner because NS and Whitby can sign these kids now, some may take the sure thing versus waiting till august

Are there that many spots on APR to fill? JR A players are sent there. Kids in OHL draft are being sent there. How many is this guy rostering 20 plus players?
No one’s being sent there. RH is being told to leave for NS to better his development by his OHL club. BS, LG, CW all told to go play junior instead of APR. Not too mention YSE player now not coming

Whose left? 2 forwards from Whitby and 1 from Oshawa, don’t have any quality defence. MB couldn’t win with an all star team, what makes anyone confident he can win now.
JC MW CM never did much for their old teams. Looks like all the talent is heading to NS.
Thanks again Eric! Maybe CM would have done even more If didn't have to play with JG
